My oh has taken the day off to catch up on jobs. This morning we did a bit of diy, and then we've been in the garden for a couple of hours ( general tidy up, hedge cutting, getting ready for spring )
Anyways I come in make us a cup of tea, take both teas in front room. He comes in with a dinner plate with 2 slices of cake sat on it . He then starts to drink his teas whilst eating his cake holding the plate ( like you do ) not offering me the other piece. So i'm beginning to think maybe they are both his but really thinking ignorant fucker - give me my bit. He finishes his then passes me mine and is amazed that I'm pretty pissed off by now !!

Well yes, but I can't believe you didn't just say "where's my piece?" as soon as he appeared with the plate.

Katedotness1963 · 22/02/2018 15:10

I would have just leant forward and taken the other slice.

mikeyssister · 22/02/2018 15:15

I'd be annoyed because I like a biscuit/slice of cake with my tea and not after it. I'd definitely sulk.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 22/02/2018 15:19

Could you have sat with both cups of tea, sipping yours and holding his hostage until yours was finished? #weird silent mind game situation

I'm guessing there's going to be a drip feed about how you only own one plate and have to take turns eating due to your lodger having a mini breakdown last week which resulted in a plate smashing episode.

TheViceOfReason · 22/02/2018 15:25

just.... what?

Ask if a slice is yours?

NotACleverName · 22/02/2018 15:27

LTB

Crispbutty · 22/02/2018 15:27

Bizarre... We often put things that we are going to share on one plate. I would have just helped myself to a slice not sat sulking

PhelanThePain · 22/02/2018 15:29

EH? Confused you just stood there silently watching him eat? You have no tongue in your head?

Monkeybunkey · 22/02/2018 15:30

Do you normally moan at him for dropping crumbs? In which case he didn't dare hand you the plate with your cake on and eat his without a plate?!

almostgotfreemilk · 22/02/2018 16:18

Why wait until he did what you knew he was going to do? Do you enjoy being pissed off with him? You should've said "where's my plate?" or "why have you put both pieces on one plate you fool?"

All you've done is annoy yourself really, because you've waited for the inevitable when you could've prevented it.

GabsAlot · 22/02/2018 18:03

first world problems

just take the bloody cake

yerbutnobut · 22/02/2018 20:37

Really hope for your sake OP that this is a joke! You sound childish. Why post about such a none event?

Cleanermaidcook · 22/02/2018 20:48

I would have assumed he was saving on washing up and just took a piece.

Legwarmersareohsoeighties · 22/02/2018 20:57

Seriously? Hmm you r making a thread out of this? Confused

DalekDalekDalek · 22/02/2018 21:05

Literally wouldn't even scratch the surface of annoyance.
