To object to my neighbours putting their wheelie bins outside my house?

At my front wall rather than the other side of the driveway. Also they leave them there for days.

I imagine the council insist on the bin being brought down to the road. I have to do this as my house is set way back and the bin men have to do the round so quickly now, they just don't have time to come up and collect bins and drop them back.

As PP have said, it's much easier for the refuse collectors this way.

I really don't understand what your problem is Confused

It's entirely possible they work away for days at a time or work shifts and don't want to wake people up by dragging the bins around at night.

this also annoys me,my neighbour does the exact same thing, theres my house then her drivway and her house, herhouse isnt set back from the road like this girl,so my neighbour has no reason to leave her bins outside mine other than she wants the front of her house to look all perfect so therefore on black n brown bin days i have my 2 black bins outside my house and then her 1 black bin and 1 brown outside my house..5 bins in total lining the front of my house...ive literally just gone and moved hers...i do like someones idea on here to start leaving my bins outside hers to see how she likes it

BUBUZITA · 10/06/2021 07:42

sorry my 2 black bins and my brown bin plus her black bin and brown bin i meant to say

Aqua55 · 10/06/2021 07:44

Do you own the path where the bins are left op?

emmathedilemma · 10/06/2021 07:49

Putting them there the night before bin collection day not unreasonable.
Leaving them there for days unreasonable.

Bagelsandbrie · 10/06/2021 07:53

If there’s no house on the other side then what is there? If there’s just a grass verge etc then that’s where they should put them.

Roselilly36 · 10/06/2021 07:56

Have you asked them OP?

sbhydrogen · 10/06/2021 07:56

YANBU.

SoupDragon · 10/06/2021 07:56

Once they've been emptied, move them to the middle of their driveway.

@BUBUZITA what were you searching to find this thread and decide to comment on it 3 years later

SallyCinnabon · 10/06/2021 08:06

Are you sure they are putting them there? Our bin men have a habit of dumping bins everywhere, found ours a few houses down once.

SallyCinnabon · 10/06/2021 08:07

Oh no I’ve fallen for a zombie 😖

🤣🤣🤣

Move them randomly around the neighbourhood. A few doors away from your home next time, so that they have to go looking for them! Keep moving them.
If there is more than one of their bins being collected on bin collection day, be sure to separate them around the estate/on the street.
Have a bit of fun with it.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/06/2021 08:19

Take their bins and leave them as far down the street as you can.

Or hide them in your garden and use them for water butts.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/06/2021 08:19
