No need to go further into your reasoning if you don't want to but this has always a been curious issue to me and came up today with one of my colleagues. She is a feminist by how she described her beliefs but doesn't actually adopt the term.

@DreamyMcDreamy one or two posters in 350 or so messages. That's clearly not representative of all "MN feminists", or feminists generally.

I say thank you to whoever holds a door open for me. And I hold doors open for others. And I say ‘you first’ if I approach a door at the same time as anyone else, male or female.

I am bringing DS and DD up in the same mould.

Im not sure. If its yes or no then yes but theres an awful lot of the feminist movement thats not for me and I dont want to be involved in, the idea behind feminism I agree with 100% but personally the words just lost its meaning, I guess I would describe myself as a Sex-positive feminist.

What about a #metoo movement where ugly women stand up and say I didn't get the job because I was ugly.
