Who parks this close?!

Just been out to my wheelie bin, and noticed the neighbour from two doors up has parked this close to me!
There's nothing behind her, just the corner of the road as I am the end house.
Am I being confrontational to knock her door and pretend I need to go out, even though I don't just to inconvenience her for her twattish parking?!

Who parks this close?!

Yeah go for it.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 08/02/2018 18:23

If you'll be able to get another spot easily then I would!

NotAnotherEmma · 08/02/2018 18:23

Awww your cars are almost kissing...but it sounds unwanted so tell her that her car needs to stop sexually harassing yours.

RaspberryCheese · 08/02/2018 18:34

I think shes lucky not to have bumped you. Check for damage

Dancingfairydreams · 08/02/2018 18:34

I had a neighbour who liked doing that too....his reason? He wanted to park directly outside his house & told me he literally just reserved untill he was lined up with his house! Needless to say I carried on parking there 🙈

MavisPike · 08/02/2018 18:36

This annoys me
What happens if you need to get out in an emergency ?

bridgetreilly · 08/02/2018 18:38

Unless there's a big gap behind your car that is utterly unreasonable.

topsyandtimison · 08/02/2018 18:40

Sorry this is so funny, I can't breath. Who parks that bloody close! Omg

Funnyface1 · 08/02/2018 18:43

That's ridiculous. I would definitely go round there and inconvenience her to try and avoid this happening again.

iBiscuit · 08/02/2018 18:45

Is hers the one parked wonkily, with its nose on the pavement?

I'd bet 50p that she's pissed.

georgeoutside · 08/02/2018 18:46

It looks like you are both up on the pavement to me. In which case you ha e a bit of a nerve to be calling anyone out on their parking.

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 08/02/2018 18:50

My neighbour often does that - plenty of room in front of him but still reverses right up to my bumper. Makes me nervous in case I slip slightly he's so close. I think he does it if he perceives I'm too far into 'his' space outside his house (and because they like to have the spade outside ours for another car too - have considered my own parking thread on several occasions!)

CatWizard · 08/02/2018 18:50

Dh and I park our cars like this Grin
But it is a complete dick move to do this to someone else.

Juju65 · 08/02/2018 18:51

This happens to me to ... I have an old Rav 4 that has the spare wheel on the back door and opens sideways... so I can’t open my boot. What’s worse is they have a drive and never use it!

lexi873 · 08/02/2018 18:59

I know Mavis, I have 3 children so could easily need to get out for an emergency.
I'd assume they have a problem with me.. except I've never spoken to the woman!

I had this too, couldn't get out knocked on neighbours door but he didn't answer, so I left him a snotty note and got my car keyed for my trouble.

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/02/2018 19:07

You don’t have a partner, neighbour or friend with a car to park right up her arse? Preferably on the road. Then it will be impossible to move her car and maybe she will learn a lesson.

jellybeanteaparty · 08/02/2018 19:16

I'd be tempted to pad the space between cars with something as concerned re bumping when one of you moves!

Pickleypickles · 08/02/2018 19:17

But is there space behind you so you can get out? If she has blocked you in then i would be really cross, if there is nothing behind you then its not the end of the world and i dont think you should say anything.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 08/02/2018 19:18

There are some proper twats around.

The other day someone parked next to me, I had driven in forward, they reversed in, so drivers doors door-to-door. They parked at such an angle, they could open their door, but the front of their car was only about an inch from my door. No way of even opening it anninch, let alone getting in. I couldn’t wait any longer as I was on my way to pick up from school, so I had to get in the passenger door and climb over to the drivers side (not easy in the tiny little rental car I had!) then ease my way carefully out of the space. Fucking twat. I tried to get some photos but due to the light reflections etc it didn’t really show it very well.

Still, the fuck wit who, in a car park, reversed into my unattended brand new car and didn’t leave any contact details takes this week’s biscuit 😡...wanker.

Valerrie · 08/02/2018 19:21

Wow. Yes I'd be straight round there as I wouldn't be able to get my wheelchair in the boot.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 08/02/2018 19:22

Do what Mummyoflittledragon suggested! Do it do it do it!

MamaLupine · 08/02/2018 19:24

Set your alarm for 3am then go and knock her up. Fake an emergency. Obviously not, but that's what I'd like in bed wanting to do whilst not sleeping and stewing on it.

Atticusss · 08/02/2018 19:28

Georgeoutside I live on a narrow road of Victorian terraces. Everyone must park on the pavement or emergency devices and delivery vans can't get through. I assume that is the case for many other old roads.

lexi873 · 08/02/2018 19:49

Pickley My next door neighbour is parked behind me but nowhere near as closely as that so I could probably edge myself out if I reverse as far as possible first.
Its just the idiocy of it that's annoyed me.
