To want to know why this guy comes home?

I definitely am BU Grin because it’s none of my bloody business. But I thought i’d put it out to MN speculation and see what you lot can come up with.

Neighbour comes home from work at random times in the day, goes into the house for less than a minute. Sometimes only about 20 seconds and then leaves again. I don’t even think its long enough to use the toilet most times. TBH I doubt I would notice except his job is in a care role and he drives a minibus whilst working so I hear the thing when it comes in. He always has at least one of the people he cares for in the bus when he comes home so is clearly on the clock. He sometimes brings the person into the house with him but more often just leaves them on the bus. He sometimes has a colleague with him too so people at work know he is doing this. I live in a small town where everyone knows what you had for breakfast and there were rumours that this man’s wife had cheated on him a few years ago. I have no idea if that is true but I wondered if he was coming home during the day to check up on her. However he does it even when she is working so not at home.

So, what do you reckon? Other than me needing a hobby. Grin

He has cameras set up to spy on her and pops home to check them?

GlitterUnicornsAndAllThatJazz · 19/01/2018 15:29

Maybe he has a new puppy?

whoareyoukidding · 19/01/2018 15:30

the first thought I had was 'drugs dealer'. This constant coming and going rapidly, rings a bell to me.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 19/01/2018 15:31

they got a puppy last year and have left It out in a kennel in the garden ever since. Sad

Dont think he’d have time to check any cameras. There would be lots of footage. He isn’t in long enough.

Quick line of coke?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 19/01/2018 15:32

The best I can come up with is that he isn’t picking up his phone charger. But surely he would just bring it with him to save stopping at home every day.

Oh I hadn’t thought of drugs! Hmm. Could be. I know a few of his acquaintances and there are a couple of dealers amongst them.

He probably IS using the loo. He works on a minibus driving people around and believe me it's not always appropriate or convenient to use their facilities.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 19/01/2018 15:34

He mustn’t wash his hands. And pee very quickly.

I do know that where he works has staff facilities. It’s a residential place.

Try and get closer and see if he has a coke fingernail

GlitterUnicornsAndAllThatJazz · 19/01/2018 15:36

You should go round next time he's in and find a nosy neighbour way of getting him to tell you what he's up to

socksandpants · 19/01/2018 15:38

"Oh I hadn’t thought of drugs! Hmm. Could be. I know a few of his acquaintances and there are a couple of dealers amongst them."

Wow you said that so nonchalantly! It's not usual to know dealers is it?! I don't know any, or at least I don't know if I do! Why aren't they locked up?

Notasperfectasallothermners · 19/01/2018 15:38

Excuse suspicious mind but could he be stealing from his charges and going home to stash it?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 19/01/2018 15:38

Grin he isn’t what you would call “approachable”, otherwise of course I would be checking out his fingernails!

Checking for or picking up post ?

Deadlylampshade · 19/01/2018 15:39

To check his wife is still home?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 19/01/2018 15:39

I don’t know socks I know quite a few. The house across the road was raided in the summer for drugs. Maybe my town is just a shithole! Grin

socksandpants · 19/01/2018 15:40

Post was my first thought also, if it's just a few second seconds in the house. Maybe he ebays or something.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 19/01/2018 15:41

It happens even on the days his wife is at work. Although maybe he could be checking she isn’t lying about being at work and has brought a man home.

I understand your curiosity about what you can't see, but I would give his employers a ring about what you can see.

Leaving service users alone on the bus or bringing them into his home is a massive red flag.

At best, it's invalidating his employers public liability insurance, at worst it's an indicator of abuse.

Chugalug · 19/01/2018 15:53

He's having a wee, they don't have to faff as much as we do with clothes..in and out and it's done...either that ,or he's clocked you watching him,and he's coming back to catch you at it

NoCanoe · 19/01/2018 15:57

Cannibas farm?

TalkinPeace · 19/01/2018 15:59

HMRC Triangular mileage regulations.

Really boring but I'll bet he's on a work contract that says his "base" is home and the tracker in his vehicle has to show that he goes "home" several times a day.
Its to do with his HMRC status of his petrol money.

Weezol · 19/01/2018 16:02

Would the tracker need to show he'd exited the vehicle though?
