I am absolutely sick of my horrendous forehead lines. I am in my mid 20's and they just look awful. Any recommendations (other than Botox) on how to reduce them please?

I've just spent 10 minutes staring at them and getting mad.

Get a fringe.

bingbongnoise · 16/01/2018 18:03

If you're in your 20's, they can't be that bad surely?!

Can you post a pic? Just your forehead so we don't see you identity? Smile

JesusTapdancingChrist · 16/01/2018 18:04

Hang on, you're in your twenties??

Are you sure you're not seeing things?!

I'm 37 and don't have lines on my forehead.

Believeitornot · 16/01/2018 18:05

Drink more water.

Mine are more prominent when I’m not drinking enough water. Or am drinking too much wine.

Ilovetolurk · 16/01/2018 18:05

Why don’t you want botox

Greensleeves · 16/01/2018 18:06

I have verys deep forehead lines, I've had them since I was late teens

They're so deep sometimes they get inflamed and itchy

they're horrible, but I don't think there's anything that can be done about them

restbiterepeat · 16/01/2018 18:08

Yes, I had lines in my forehead in my twenties. I think it as because I spent my teenage years like this Hmm Hmm

I just stopped caring. Job done.

Trashboat · 16/01/2018 18:11

Agree with PP who said get a fringe cut in.

Lifeisabeach09 · 16/01/2018 18:12

More water, for sure.
Reduce alcohol intake (if you drink)
Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise
Retinol cream

Bossbaby12 · 16/01/2018 18:13

jesus they are very much there Sad Also I have a fringe now just this reason haha, but the wind juy destroys it so it doesn't have the same effect now.

believeitornot Can that actually help? As in as instant thing? I usually drink around 2litres but I haven't had any today Blush

bing I am too scared to post a picture haha, they are vile today

ididntmeanitlikethat · 16/01/2018 18:15

Shamelessly placemarking.

I've had mine since early 20s and am obsessed with them! Spend my life comparing to every woman I see how very sad Blush

Christmascardqueen · 16/01/2018 18:15

No smoking, moisturize, drink plenty of water. Get your vision checked in case your squinting, wear sunglasses in bright light.

Ilovetolurk · 16/01/2018 18:16

I am the female gordon ramsay and can testify that botox is the answer

Bossbaby12 · 16/01/2018 18:17

ididnt I compare mine all the time too, I've started zooming in on pictures to see if anyone has them Blush

TheHappyRedDragon · 16/01/2018 18:17

Nothing wrong with Botox but look at the range of products/acids provided by The Ordinary and try one suitable for you through them.

Bossbaby12 · 16/01/2018 18:18

lurk That made me laugh! Does it get rid of the lines fully or does it just reduce?

Cakeisbest · 16/01/2018 18:23

Make sure you don't frown , especially without realising. Sometimes just concentrating makes us screw up our foreheads so work hard on adapting a neutral expression.

What Christmas said.

I'm in my 50s. You know this fixation is only going to get worse as you get older. Think about refreshing your whole look to feel better about yourself and the aging process.

Ilovetolurk · 16/01/2018 18:30

Yes it works for mine. They flatten out so whilst you can still see the lines my forehead is pretty smooth

Not in a mad renee zellweger way you understand

llangennith · 16/01/2018 18:30

About to say it’s a genetic thing and noticed someone else has said this. I’m 66 and lots of wrinkles but none on my forehead. DD has had two since she was tiny.

Believeitornot · 16/01/2018 18:30

It won’t be instant but generally upping water intake and less alcohol etc will help a bit!

Note3 · 16/01/2018 18:31

Snap. I'm now 30s and have lines on forehead and deep ones at side of mouth. My mouth ones are because I am in a terrible habit if chewing gums and lips when I'm awake and grinding teeth when I'm asleep. Plus in my customer facing role I kept pasting an 'I'm interested' smile which again worsened the lines so I've consciously addressed that!

CrypticClues · 16/01/2018 18:40

Less alcohol, more water, silk pillowcase, hyaluronic acid, retinol... all things I'd try in your 20s before going the botox route.
Also, apparently sugar can break down the elasticity of skin - or something - so maybe cut back (assuming you're a sugar-lover like my good self, that is.)

Am going to have a crack at these myself as my mouth to nose lines are terrible, and I can't even get a fringe long enough to cover them Grin
