I didn't know what to say as I didn't know if he was joking or not. When I realised he actually wanted an answer I just said "no thanks" and gave him the look.

We have a street in our town where most of England's net curtains have retired to.

Each house has net curtains, and several have a different pattern in each window.

I had net curtains in my first house. It was a new estate where about 15 different houses (and anyone walking by) could see into our bedrooms. I was only 22 as well!

I live on a brand new street (think new builds, made of old stone however, naice area, new but not an estate.) This is relevant because of what people would expect of the decor.. one neighbour (who we cant see as round a corner but we went to drop a parcel) has net curtains. In every window. Including the bays 🤷🏼‍♀️ He’s being helpful.

My grandparents were scandalised when they came to my house once as i didn't have them. My Nana sat muttering and my Grandfather paced up and down ranting and told me i lived in a slum as 'only people in slums don't have nets'. I pointed out i didn't think Buck House had them either and he wasn't amused.

Oh my god I couldn't live without net curtains. We live behind a bus stop and people gawk in the front window every ten minutes. It's nets or a giant sign with Fuck Off You Nosy Cunts painted on it.

We have voiles on our front windows. I don't like living in a goldfish bowl and our road is quite busy, especially with school traffic.

Haha my DH is a builder and l was just about to jump in if it was a builder bashing thread, such as the builder was here 12 hrs and CF used my toilet . But l will ask DH if he's ever asked this question and if so l shall LTB.

Why is a rod superior to a wire? Surely they don’t work on a bay anyway.
