Everyone forgot my birthday

My whole family, my best friends, and most of my work colleagues.
I know it's just a birthday. I make such a fuss on everyone when it's their birthday. All I wanted was a card/text/Facebook message.

Meh.
I'm extra grumpy because I've spent all day in bed unwell so been constantly checking my phone which hasn't helped.

My sympathies; it happened to me a few years ago. Not a word from my husband, mum and dad, siblings, grown-up children or friends. It was weird; I spent the day thinking something exciting was going to happen - a surprise - but it didn’t. Every knock on the door or phone call.. you can imagine. I got cards the next day, held up in the post I suppose, but my husband had no excuse - I milked that for years!
