.....it’s your responsibility to keep it out from under people’s feet?

gobbynorthernbird · 05/01/2018 19:24

DDog would say YABVU

RJnomore1 · 05/01/2018 19:24

It depends.

If you are a canine personage with a tail yes it's all your fault and you will be very very sorry.

If however you are of the feline persuasion...

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 05/01/2018 19:26

I would imagine having a tail is a complex thing so on that basis YABU.

ScreamingValenta · 05/01/2018 19:26

It should certainly be your obligation to wag it vigorously in warm weather so it serves as a fan (yes, doggie, I am looking at your luxuriant feathery tail, not the cats).

WhenEnoughIsEnough · 05/01/2018 19:26

Agree 100% and also if you own a tail then you should also realise that it IS attached to your body and chasing it is pointless and yes biting it will hurt BECAUSE IT'S ATTACHED TO YOU.

Fekko · 05/01/2018 19:26

It’s your duty to whack people with it, wrap it around humans legs (if you are a cat), leave it where people might tread on it and try to knock things off coffee tables with it.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 05/01/2018 19:27

YANBU to think that. SpongeCat might not agree with you though.

altiara · 05/01/2018 19:38

Was the tail there first though?

TheQueenOfWands · 05/01/2018 19:40

If you're going to flap around a large floofy tail you also shouldn't look outraged when people play with it.

Tuck it in if you want to keep it to yourself.

MrsTerryPratchett · 05/01/2018 19:40

And your bloody long, badly controlled legs and feet.

at DDog.

BigBaboonBum · 05/01/2018 19:41

My dog says YABIU

SnugglySnerd · 05/01/2018 19:42

I agree. I also think it would be your responsibility to keep it away from curious babies instead of waving it tantalisingly in their faces.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 05/01/2018 19:48

Yabu
Dcat1 thinks she should be able to wiggle her tail near Dcat2s face without DCat2 pouncing on it.
DCat2 likes her tail to be as close to people's faces as possible and preferably up their nose or in their eye. If she chooses to put her tail here it is your responsibility to just accept it and not try to move it.

CoolCarrie · 05/01/2018 19:59

Our dogs say our tails need space !

tealandteal · 05/01/2018 20:02

You should also be able to control it and not knock glasses off tables but if you curl up small with your tail over your nose, all will be forgiven.

Crumbs1 · 05/01/2018 20:03

No waggy end is too far from brain to be controlled effectively and is designed to sweep assorted items onto floor.

AnnaMagnani · 05/01/2018 20:10

Cat would say no.

Cat would also say that if you are black, furry, in possession of a tail, and invisible in the dark, it is entirely reasonable for you to sleep in the bathroom doorway and expect not to be trodden on Hmm

AdoraBell · 05/01/2018 20:11

Yes, absolutely your own responsibility Adora Pooches, even if you need help avoiding the wheels of an approaching buggy while you paitiabtly wait to cross the road.

AdoraBell · 05/01/2018 20:13

Patiently bloody autocorrect

mirime · 05/01/2018 20:13

@AnnaMagnani my cat agrees wholeheartedly with your cat.

dottycat123 · 05/01/2018 20:17

Slightly off topic but tail related. When walking dogs with my dm and ds1 (about 8 at the time) he announced how much he would like a tail, cue my dm explaining some basic evolution theory that we all had tails once. Ds1 considered this then asked " what year was the last person born with a tail ". We still laugh about it now.

Fekko · 05/01/2018 20:19

When I was at school my friends aunt was a nurse at a secure hospital and she said that she nursed a patient with a tail. Like a squirrels apparently.

AnnaMagnani · 05/01/2018 20:21

mirime Grin I now have a black kitten who appears to have the same notions too -- sigh...

VivaLeBeaver · 05/01/2018 20:21

I had an odd conversation the other day about Furry fetishism...thought this thread was going to be about that.

mikeyssister · 05/01/2018 21:17

DDog says that tails are whips and you show your peeps how much you love them by whipping them around the legs with it.
