.....it’s your responsibility to keep it out from under people’s feet?

DDog says that is all very well if you are a posh dog, but if you are a bit of a mixture, you can end up with a tail that is much too big for your bottom and sometimes the giant tail will wag your little body all round the room while you fight to get control of it.

Ellybellyboo · 05/01/2018 21:32

YANBU.

Although my dog isn’t very bright so I’m not convinced he realises the thing he likes to chase regularly is actually attached to him

apostropheuse · 05/01/2018 21:53

My dog said YANBU if said dog is a pleb who actually deigns to lie on the floor instead of in his rightful position on the couch with his head resting on a lap. He also does not agree that Labradors are far too big and clumsy to put rest their full body on said lap.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 05/01/2018 21:56

DSHathacat often carelessly leaves hers lying about and is greatly offended when it gets trodden on occasionally. We do tell her to tuck it away when she hides behind curtains etc!

RustyPaperclips · 05/01/2018 21:59

I agree

therealreason · 05/01/2018 22:00

DDog says YABU and it's your responsibility to keep your feet away from his tail, he needs wagging space Grin

N0tfinished · 05/01/2018 22:05

Tails should be licensed as offensive weapons if they are of the big muscly type likely to sweep precious favorite mugs off of coffee tables. Bitter memories

Neverender · 05/01/2018 22:08

YANBU - Dsis has one from Glastonbury and gets VERY cross if you step on it at a house party Shock

ItsNachoCheese · 05/01/2018 22:10

Nachodog would say yabvu as people should stay out of the way of his tail as he likes to move it freely a little too freely for my liking fecking thing is like a whip

Kitsharrington · 05/01/2018 22:24

In this house the main responsibility of the tail owner is to wag it against things loudly until you wake someone up to let you out.

FluffyWuffy100 · 05/01/2018 22:31

This miss match in tail care expectations is how my old cat got his tail broken :-( poor careless kitty

Current kitty is more careful with the tail.

1stX · 05/01/2018 22:32

My pug is looking smug right now

wombatron · 05/01/2018 23:04

YABU says Ddog 1&2. And if we choose to stand under your feet (literally) looking at the floor waiting for things to drop then it is YOU who must look where you’re going and YOU who must get the ‘eff out of the way. Stupid human.

wombatron · 05/01/2018 23:05

@1stX my two Pugs just shove their butts in your face. Personally I would find a tail a bit kinder!

jedenfalls · 05/01/2018 23:08

anna

Both my black cats agreed with your cat. But say it’s the top step, not the bathroom Hmm

1stX · 05/01/2018 23:39

@wombatron it is funny how they can’t wag their tails without wiggling their whole butts though.

mirime · 06/01/2018 00:20

@jedenfalls I suspect my black and white cat of attempted murder on the stairs.

The black one isn't smart enough for nefarious plans and seems genuinely surprised and offended when stood on while lying in doorways or the middle of the hall in the dark. Even though it happens regularly.

IMightMentionGriddlebone · 06/01/2018 00:47

Noddy would agree with you. Bert and Martha Monkey wouldn't!

Floellabumbags · 06/01/2018 00:52

Let the tails swing freely!

sashh · 06/01/2018 02:02

The family golden retriever believed her tail was best used to shed hair on humans. My school uniform was navy blue.

Wagging golden retriever tails and navy blue do not mix well.

Strangely she didn't notice when one of the cats was hitching a ride by grabbing her tail.

Nikephorus · 06/01/2018 09:15

You should also be able to control it and not knock glasses off tables but if you curl up small with your tail over your nose, all will be forgiven.
This ^^ totally Grin

mikeyssister · 07/01/2018 21:09

DDog says it's mosts unreasonable for him to feel pain when he bites his whaggy whipConfused

MipMipMip · 07/01/2018 22:15

1stX you try wagging without your whole butt joining in!
