Will mashed and roast potatoes from Christmas Day be ok today?

Really hungry and still some I the fridge!

The roast potatoes were in the same dish and touching fish cooked as a starter on Christmas Day too, would that be a problem? As obviously I wouldn't eat three day old salmon?

I wouldn’t

Tinselistacky · 28/12/2017 20:59

Just had fish cakes and Christmas day mash!! Mashed a bit butter in and stuck it in the microwave!!

CaoNiMa · 28/12/2017 20:59

I wouldn't either.

Itchytights · 28/12/2017 20:59

I wouldn’t either.

I know it’s a hassle but I would make fresh.

RJnomore1 · 28/12/2017 21:00

I've just eaten the last of our roasties. Seemed fine. I do have a cast iron stomach thoigh

LineysRunner · 28/12/2017 21:00

I'd nuke them, but yes.

inmyshoos · 28/12/2017 21:00

I would!! It's only veg!! If it tastes ok I'd eat it!!

BIWI · 28/12/2017 21:01

It's only 3 days ago! As long as it's been in the fridge, and you cook it thoroughly it will be fine

harrietsoton · 28/12/2017 21:02

I probably wouldn’t but only you can judge if they smell and seem okay

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 28/12/2017 21:02

I would. It would not occur to me think they couldn't be used.My evening meal tonight is a random selection of left overs.

But I have discovered I apparently have very low standards compared to many on MN.

QueenNefertitty · 28/12/2017 21:02

Really? Three day old roast potatoes are a "no"?!

I've just eaten ham I cooked on Christmas Eve.... I dread to think what you lot would do with it!? Bin I presume?

QueenNefertitty · 28/12/2017 21:03

I am genuinely appalled that MN generally believes a roast potato will go off after 3 days in the fridge.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 28/12/2017 21:03

I totally would. Once they are probably reheated I’d go for it

Rossigigi · 28/12/2017 21:03

I would if it's wasn't for the fish sat next to them

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 28/12/2017 21:03

I'm using up the left over pigs in blankets as part of my using up what is in the fridge meal.

Oncandystripedlegs · 28/12/2017 21:04

I would . I often eat leftover Sunday dinner Mon/Tues/Wed. Never been a problem .

Amanduh · 28/12/2017 21:04

It's a potato. It's fine!!

TheFallenMadonna · 28/12/2017 21:04

Um, I frequently keep leftovers in the fridge for 5 days. I had fried left over roast potatoes for breakfast!

Insomnibrat · 28/12/2017 21:04

Oh god no!

Who wants fishy roast potatoes?

chachaboom · 28/12/2017 21:04

Do they taste sour? If not, eat. Shocked that people are so dismissive! Smell/taste should guide you!

parrotonmyshoulder · 28/12/2017 21:05

We had a lovely ‘leftovers lasagne’ this evening, but there’s still a lot more beef and ham to use tomorrow. Potatoes? No problem!

Lollypop27 · 28/12/2017 21:05

Well we had bubble and squeak with our leftovers today. Surely veg is ok in the fridge for a few days?

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 28/12/2017 21:05

Just finished the last of my bubble made up on Boxing Day noth8ng wrong with it as long as it’s stored correctly.

LifeofClimb · 28/12/2017 21:06

I chucked ours because they’d been in with soggy leftover stuffing. Texture had gone weird. If it wasn’t for that, I would’ve had em.
