Will mashed and roast potatoes from Christmas Day be ok today?

Really hungry and still some I the fridge!

The roast potatoes were in the same dish and touching fish cooked as a starter on Christmas Day too, would that be a problem? As obviously I wouldn't eat three day old salmon?

I would.

Redsippycup · 28/12/2017 21:08

I had a cold one Thais morning while mooching in the fridge for breakfast - still here and feeling fine!

Dermymc · 28/12/2017 21:09

They'll be grand.

Just had the last roasties nom nom.

Ummmmgogo · 28/12/2017 21:09

both the salmon and potatoes should be fine.

FlashTheSloth · 28/12/2017 21:10

How ridiculous that people would throw it away now! Go ahead OP, I would. In fact I have left over veg in the fridge, I'm eating it tomorrow. Made turkey curry tonight, some left for tomorrow.

PinkPanther27 · 28/12/2017 21:11

I've just had left over Christmas dinner for my tea, don't judge me. They'veonly been in the fridge 3 days. I would never reheat them in the microwave though, oven all the way. They were delicious by the way Grin

@Lass

Right?! I'm more careful with toddler DS as he has a crappy immune system (just getting over 4 months of back to back viruses) - and I'll chuck it if visibly mouldy/ tastes wrong- but a 3 day old roast potato? That's hardly dicing with death by salmonella is it...

iknowimcoming · 28/12/2017 21:14

Still eating turkey, ham (cooked on Xmas eve), pigs in blankets and roast spuds and parsnips here, probably still be eating them till Saturday, we do it every year and have never had any issues

Onedayhey · 28/12/2017 21:15

I've thrown mine out. They looked all dried up and unappetising.

BarbaraofSevillle · 28/12/2017 21:33

They'll be fine.

Fry the spuds up with any ham/bacon type stuff you have and add sprouts if you have them. Beef dripping or butter will make it extra delicious.

GrockleBocs · 28/12/2017 21:38

Xmas Day veg eaten tonight in Bubble & Squeak and the remainder in the freezer for 2 evenings in January :) We're pretty much through the leftovers apart from the cheese.

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 28/12/2017 21:40

3 day old cooked potatoes, absolutely fine as long as they’ve been in the fridge. Slightly put off by the mention of the fish, were they touching on the day or in the fridge?

Addictedtothisbloodyforum · 28/12/2017 21:42

No no no yuck yuck yuck

Mumsymcmumface · 28/12/2017 21:43

What on Earth do people think could be wrong with a roast potato that has been in a fridge for a few days?

BackHome · 28/12/2017 21:44

DH had leftover roast from Thursday, today!!! He's still alive and no tummy probs as yet! Wink

Regularsizedrudy · 28/12/2017 21:45

I would without a second thought.

arethereanyleftatall · 28/12/2017 21:45

I would. And the salmon.

IsaSchmisa · 28/12/2017 21:47

They won't be nice now unless you fry them or something.

Glumglowworm · 28/12/2017 21:57

I thought I was paranoid about food! But I just had Christmas Day leftover chicken and pigs in blankets reheated (properly) for dinner tonight. Three days is about as long as I’d go for meat, but I was planning on frying up the remaining roasties tomorrow

I’m really not sure what people think will have happened to a cooked, refridgerated potato in the space of 72 hours!
