Hello,
Can anyone tell me what's the best reasonably-priced electric teapot MADE IN THE UK, of course? I'm in the US and all that are available here are made in China. Thank you.

Electric tea pot? What does that do then?

MsHippo · 21/12/2017 22:40

Do you mean a kettle...?

ScreamingValentaMySantaExpress · 21/12/2017 22:42

Electric teapot? Tell me more (tea addict here!).

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 21/12/2017 22:44
Shock
MyKingdomForBrie · 21/12/2017 22:50

Do you mean like a teasmade?

ScreamingValentaMySantaExpress · 21/12/2017 22:52

You don't mean a Teasmaid do you OP?

MrsDinosaurButtocks · 21/12/2017 22:52

Sorry to derail, but is it true you don't have kettles in the US?

ScreamingValentaMySantaExpress · 21/12/2017 22:52

x-post with Brie

GrooovyLass · 21/12/2017 22:54

Kettle?

steff13 · 21/12/2017 22:57

Sorry to derail, but is it true you don't have kettles in the US?

Of course we do. My husband killed ours, so I bought an electric one.

MrsDinosaurButtocks · 21/12/2017 23:01

Thanks steff13 I guess I was being a bit naive Grin

ThatsNotAKnifeThatsASpoon · 21/12/2017 23:02

What's that now? Hmm

cheesypastatonight · 21/12/2017 23:04

Never heard of an electric teapot! Maybe post a picture of what you are looking for?

JaniceBattersby · 21/12/2017 23:04

I LOVE the idea of an electric teapot. ☕️

Jux · 21/12/2017 23:08

I want an electric teapot.
I need an electric teapot.
I deserve an electric teapot.

It would be on permanently.

Do you mean a samovar?

Jux · 21/12/2017 23:10

An urn?

TacoFlavouredKisses · 21/12/2017 23:11

Did Heston not do a fancy pants megabucks tea kettle thing?

ScreamingValentaMySantaExpress · 21/12/2017 23:13

Googling 'electric teapot' just seems to bring up kettles. Like @Jux I'm imagining something that produces a constant supply of tea with no such middlemen as kettles!

TacoFlavouredKisses · 21/12/2017 23:15

Spot on Toad! My (offensively huge link) is a slightly more cheapo one!

Davros · 21/12/2017 23:17

Sage by Heston is the dog's. Well worth the £££ if you are a committed tea drinker like moi

ScreamingValentaMySantaExpress · 21/12/2017 23:18

I wish I'd known about the one Taco linked before I sent my Christmas list to Santa Xmas Grin.

ToadOfSadness · 21/12/2017 23:22

I was tempted by one but it is a bit too fiddly for me. Instead I checked the actual temperature of the hot water dispensers we have and chose the one that gave me the temperature I wanted.

Now it looks as if I will have to reduce my tea intake so pleased I didn't get one after all.

SausageChipsAndCurrySauce · 21/12/2017 23:25

Does such a thing exist?
I'm looking for a tea cosy Xmas Grin
