Staffroom chocolate selection tactics.

AIBU in leaving the Bountys and eating the other flavours because I'm the only one who likes coconut? It means we all get a crack equally for the rest of the chocolates, then I get to swoop in and eat the mini Bountys all by myself at the end. I even look like a bit of a hero at the end, bravely eating the unwanted leftovers.

Sneaky greedy bastard or shrewd chocolate tactician?

Ha, I do this with the coconut ones in the quality street. Dc don’t like them so I save them till the end while eating my fair share of caramel cups and orange creams.

I would eat the odd Bounty in case anyone decides to stake a claim on them and take them home for a family member as nobody in the staffroom seems to like them. Otherwise, good plan.

I make a bit of a show of eating the odd Bounty early on in order to disguise the master plan. Don't want to make it obvious.

Me! I do this too! There are always loads of Bounty. They’re my 2nd favourites after the Maltesers but I keep that to myself. Wink

I have also been coaching DS2 in Bounty tactics because he’s a coconut fan.

Excellent tactics.
My dh does this at hoe. He knows full well he's the only one that will eat the Bounties or the nutty ones, so takes what he considers to be his fair share of nice ones, and still have about 1/4 of the tub all to himself left at the end.

Does make me cross, but OTOH, if I were the only one who liked them, I'd do the same Wink

Everyone loves to share chocolates with me. I only like the Turkish delight / cherry ripes / coconut ones. Hate the fudge and caramel ones!

I do this with all the coffee flavour ones. I only know one other person who likes them, so whenever a new box gets opened, we give each other a knowing look, happily tuck into the other chocolates then heroically swoop in to eat up the remaining coffee creams. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it!

I had a box of celebrations with year 8 on Friday. Some of them did this!!! But they were foiled in their master plan because I love Bounty's and ate all the "leftovers" myself, ha ha ha.

I think we have some staff with the same idea as you in our staffroom, but here it's toffee that's the unloved flavor.
