I'm 36 - thinking of asking the hairdresser for this today but am worried it might be too young for me?

I think the colours are a bit much at 36. That’s my age too and I’d think of it as too young for me. Depends on the rest of your style and personality whether you could pull it off.

I'm a complete introvert, antisocial, very quiet and a bit reserved - so it probably doesn't suit my personality as such but I'm also a bit of an odd bod so it suits that side of me I suppose

I've you've got enough hair for it you're certainly not too old! Personal preference, I'd prefer it without all the different colours in it if were it my hair, but that's not to say you shouldn't go for it if it's what you like :)

It's very nice. I'm pushing 50 and have "pastel galaxy" hair. I don't care if people think it's not age appropriate simply because it is nobody else's business.

If the rest of your look (clothes and make-up) suit that style then do it.
If once you have it done you don't feel right, you can always change it.
