Please tell me I'm being an idiot

Wasnt sure where to post this. Rather than AIBU this should be titled AIBAI (Am I Being An Idiot) :-)

Right a few months ago I was feeling nervous, uncertain in my relationship. Single mum with 2 kids, first relationship since very traumatic break up. Very scared of letting someone in and getting hurt again. Relationship had reached the point where the kids were being introduced so it was a pretty scary time for me.

Rather than discuss my anxieties with my partner, I stupidly and after a lot of wine turned to the world of online psychics. Basically I typed questions into stupid random sites and got fake emails from psychics.

Once sobered up the next day I realised I was being an idiot and that they're fake so instead I talked to my partner who reassured me that he was in this relationship for the long haul.

Every now and then I get an email from one of these psychics and I ignore them.

Meanwhile my relationship is going from strength to strength. To the extent where I've realised I'm in love with this man and I can see a future with him and my children. Slowly introduced the kids and gradually building up the amount of time he spends with them. He's asked me to go away with him next year. Just had a lovely weekend together where he's really reassured me.

So I log into my email and find an email from one it these supposed psychics "your relationship is in great danger" apparently the cards are telling her of a "symbolic departure, a sign or separation" and that I need to call as quickly as possible so she can "tell me everything".

I know I'm being an idiot but for some reason this has really got to me. Now sat here in pieces freaking out. And I'm so cross with myself for being sooooooooo stupid.

Delete the email and block the senders.

I had the same email! It's spam. Block and delete.

I'm also a psychic and I predict your relationship is ok and will do just fine unless you phone a stranger and give them money.

Never been unsure about the relationship. Just got a bit wobbly a few months ago when it was time the get the kids involved. We'd been seeing each other a while before introducing the kids, don't get me wrong and I was sure about DP before introducing the kids. But it was still a nerve wracking decision and I was terrified of losing DP and messing the kids up. DP doesn't have kids so wasn't sure how he'd find my 2 DSs. Turns out I had nothing to worry about, he's been great with the kids.

Have now blocked all stupid psychics.

Oh my god. OF COURSE they're sending you this bullshit now: they've got a script for it. "Will my relationship pan out well" must be the number one thing people ask them about. So they say what you want to hear - "oh the stars are telling me everything will be wonderful" - wait two weeks, then try to rinse your insecurities for more money.

You know it's bullshit, well done for blocking the malevolent moneygrubbers.
