Grill or fry

My husband has just told me no-one grills burgers and everyone fries them. I’ve never heard anything of the sort! What do you do?

OP posts:
bruffin · 10/12/2017 17:20

Grill, but only have home made ones

Sirzy · 10/12/2017 17:20

Grill

dementedpixie · 10/12/2017 17:21

I oven them so they don't get too much colour on them (Ds is funny about 'black bits' on his food!). Never ever fry them.

IceBearRocks · 10/12/2017 17:22

Grill....my mum fried ...she's been dead for 4 years and we never ate her food

MongerTruffle · 10/12/2017 17:25

Grill (assuming you mean using the coils on an oven, and not using a grill pan)

Jaygee61 · 10/12/2017 17:25

Grill

Eminybob · 10/12/2017 17:32

I don’t have a grill, just a grill setting on the oven, which I don’t find works very well with burgers, they tend to just turn grey and shrink. So I fry.
But to be honest we don’t tend to have burgers that often outside of BBQ season, which is obviously the best way to book them.

Eminybob · 10/12/2017 17:32

*cook

Neverender · 10/12/2017 17:33

There's no way I'd fry a burger...ever. Sounds gross to me!

PinkHeart5914 · 10/12/2017 17:36

I fry in a non stick frying pan with no oil. Always have and they are perfectly cooked each time

Grilledaubergines · 10/12/2017 17:40

Oven. Same as sausages. Basically because I’m a lazy cooker and if I can oven things it means I can wander off and not return for 25 minutes.

cornflakegirl · 10/12/2017 17:52

Fry in a nonstick pan.

MsAwesomeDragon · 10/12/2017 17:54

Grill. On one of those George Forman grill things

TheWhyteRoseShallRiseAgain · 10/12/2017 17:55

Oven here too

BumWad · 10/12/2017 17:57

Grill

shhhfastasleep · 10/12/2017 17:57

Oven or grill.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 10/12/2017 18:01

They get done in a non-stick pan with no added fat.

Our grill is crap, oven cooked ones go tough, and it's easier to clean a pan than it is to clean a George foreman type thingie.

LadyDeadpool · 10/12/2017 18:09

But mcdonalds et al fry their burgers so why is it gross? We do ours the same in multicooker which is basically an electric hot plate and no oil they stay juicy and taste amazing. Kind of stole the method from watching too many diners, drive ins and dives.

WillowWept · 10/12/2017 18:10

Fry them. On a griddle.

We only eat home made burgers and tend to be to fat to grill.

BIWI · 10/12/2017 18:12

Always fry them. That's what burger restaurants do as well!

deepestdarkestperu · 10/12/2017 18:16

Fry them.

Fffion · 10/12/2017 18:17

I cook burgers in the oven, unless barbecuing. Can’t stand the smoke in the house, or having to attend to them.

franktheskank · 10/12/2017 19:19

Griddle or grill or bbq depends on mood

Jfw82 · 10/12/2017 19:21

Oven or bbq in summer

Juicyfruitloop · 10/12/2017 19:23

George Foreman, oven or grill. If I was to use the pan I wouldn't add oil just fry in the burgers juices. I couldn't fry in oil.
