Literally zero sympathy for Dh and his 'flu'

Jesus Christ it's a bad cold.
Today's his only day off this week I've got an MA deadline on fri he promised he'd look after ds this afternoon but he's been in his pit since eating a massive lunch.
I'm going to end up doing school run, dinner time bath time and bedtime solo now and then have to do a load of work. Plus ds bday party this weekend loads to do no breaks 😩 But DH is sooooooo ill 🤔

second sarcastic and sexist thread on the same topic today.

Good work!

Wishfulmakeupping · 06/12/2017 15:46

How is it sexist it's not based on him being a man it's based on him using a mild illness as a excuse to have a rest on his day off while run around like a fool getting everything sorted

[eyeroll]

plagueplague · 06/12/2017 15:58

So you think he's faking it?

QuestionableMouse · 06/12/2017 16:01

Maybe speak to him about it rather than moaning on here?

Chowmum · 06/12/2017 16:01

TBH, probably not the flu if he ate a massive lunch, as the OP states.

Chowmum · 06/12/2017 16:02

*@QuestionableMouse * did I miss the point of AIBU?

DeleteOrDecay · 06/12/2017 16:04

YANBU. If he's eaten a 'massive lunch' then he can't be that ill surely.

OhNoOhNo · 06/12/2017 16:06

@meatloaf

How is it sexist?

OP is right, he doesn't have flu.

Wishfulmakeupping · 06/12/2017 16:06

Exactly! Genuinely that ill food is the last thing on your mind

OP posts:
meatLaof · 06/12/2017 16:14

@OhNoOhNo

Did he claim he did?

OhNoOhNo · 06/12/2017 17:42

@meatloaf what are you on about?

And are you posting as meatloafy on the trans thread about the silver medal winner?

Wishfulmakeupping · 06/12/2017 19:02

Yes he's 'got the flu' apparently so he's had to rest all afternoon/early evening while I've done everything to get the kids ready for bed now the youngest is asleep and I'm settling the eldest he's back up again 🤔

OP posts:
Wishfulmakeupping · 06/12/2017 19:05

He's in the fucking kitchen now 😡 He's got a good appetite for someone so poorly

Amanduh · 06/12/2017 19:06

How is it sexist?! Hmm how annoying Op, i feel for you Angry

HellonHeels · 06/12/2017 19:09

You should have gone out to do your coursework - cafe, library, anywhere.

Ethylred · 06/12/2017 19:11

Are you working on your MA or your MN?

BrieAndChilli · 06/12/2017 19:12

I’ve had flu this week - I’ve still done the school run (because someone has to) but I’ve literally eaten nothing. I had some chocolate and it tasted like sick, I had a bite of pizza and it tasted like it was made of pure sugar.

ByThePowerOfRa · 06/12/2017 19:15

Sometimes I can eat while hungry.

I really don’t get where sexism comes into this though..? Op didn’t say ‘man flu’. Did you misread?

ByThePowerOfRa · 06/12/2017 19:15

Oh ffs eat while I’m poorly!

Lukeandlorelai4Ever · 06/12/2017 19:18

I would be fuming op Angry

Worldsworstcook · 06/12/2017 19:27

I've always been told by my DH that it's only a proper flu if there's a £100 note lying on the floor and you can't find the strength to bend down and pick it up

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 19:29

The massive lunch and the being up and about says it's not flu. Heavy cold.
Good luck with your studies, op. So sorry you've got this obstacle to getting there. Hope your DP gets better soon and that you don't get it.

Fluffyears · 06/12/2017 19:52

I can always eat when I’m ill I used to hate my mum saying’you cant be that ill blah blah’ I felt like lamping her.

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 19:55

Not saying he's not a bit poorly but that ain't flu. Not if he can get up and not if he can eat anything.
