to be worried

hi posting for traffic really.

Weird incident at work.

I'd had a good day - really a very good day. i was feeling good. work was going well (just spelling this out because people may think I'm anxious etc... - but I really wasn't!)

Anyway, sitting at the computer in my office and I start to feel 'weird', then a bit faint. Thought maybe I needed to eat something, but then feeling of faintness and weirdness intensified. Called husband to ask him to pick me up. Feeling more and more faint and weird. Called husband back - said 'somethings wrong, please come as fast as you can'.

Wanted to lie down - but I'm in a glass office, so worried what people would think! left office in search of help as thought I was about to collapse.

Then, suddenly - projectile vomit! - I mean everywhere (majorly embarrassing). After that I felt much better.

This all happened about 4pm. I'm feeling a lot better now - but a bit spaced out and weak.

Any thoughts???? (I had a sore right arm last night - not sure if that's related, haven't experienced this before so thought I'd add it in)

Google sending me nuts! - I specifically want to know why the vomiting helped if anyone can answer that??

And should I be worried? I'm heading to doc tomorrow

thank you for any help

Migraine?

Lellikelly26 · 27/11/2017 21:18

Sounds like a migraine to me

MyBrilliantDisguise · 27/11/2017 21:18

It could be an ear infection.

AnyFucker · 27/11/2017 21:19

Bug

Fragglewump · 27/11/2017 21:19

I have done this a few times - I once passed out at a gala dinner when I fainted at the table. Staggered back to my room and was sick everywhere. Not uncommon apparently

Lellikelly26 · 27/11/2017 21:19

Get checked though as I guy I knew had funny feeling behind his eyes for a while, was sick everywhere then had a massive stroke. Age 44. It sounds like you had a migraine but just get a thorough check up anyway

Alicecooperslovechild · 27/11/2017 21:20

Had a similar thing once. Felt totally fine one minute and then so dizzy that I could barely stand. Finally spent 3 hours with my head hanging over the loo vomiting every time I moved my head. Felt a bit weak for a day or so after but then fine. I assume that it was the norovirus or similar.

TheWhyteRoseShallRiseAgain · 27/11/2017 21:20

First 2 thoughts based on my own weird body which hates me are you prone to headaches and migraines? I've had hemiplegic migraine (thankfully only had 3 in the last few years!) which almost mimics a stroke start a bit like that and cleared off in a few hours after I vomited and didn't ever have the typical head pain people associate with other types of migraines.
Other one is pregnancy which always starts off in really weird ways before I'm even late?

Triplesalchow · 27/11/2017 21:20

Stomach bug/ food poisoning?

Bambamber · 27/11/2017 21:21

You sound awfully anxious about it all. Could have just eaten something that didn't agree with you, or could just have a little bug. I've had it happen before a few times. For future reference if you feel faint and like your going to collapse, getting up is a bad idea. You either need to lie down or sit with your head between your knees

GertrudeCB · 27/11/2017 21:22

When I had Norovirous it started like that Confused

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 27/11/2017 21:23

Migraine

BigApple11 · 27/11/2017 21:25

Sounds like norovirus...

Loyly · 27/11/2017 21:25

The same thing happened to my relative. His was caused by an inner ear problem.

Allthetuppences · 27/11/2017 21:34

I get bad nausea with ear problems and it comes on suddenly. I get very light headed and feel cold or faint before and alongside migraine symptoms. I only get migraine aura luckily I have only had the severe pain as well once or twice.

HateHomework · 27/11/2017 21:36

Pregnant?

Moanyoldcow · 27/11/2017 21:43

I know you says you're not PG but that exact thing happened to me when I was.

Otherwise a general bug is likely.

PinkyBlunder · 27/11/2017 21:45

A bug of some sort. This has happened to me a few times. The first time it happened was in a school in France. I had to leg it out the classroom to find help and was immensely sick all over the corridor. I was perfectly fine afterwards but mortified.

Gumbubble · 27/11/2017 21:47

I had something similar about 4 years ago and doctor decided it was most likely a atypical migraine. I used to have migraine with aura and numbness down one side of my body as well as the vomiting but apparently they can present differently. Hasn't happened again although I did carry migraine medication everywhere for a few years afterwards just in case.

NoSquirrels · 27/11/2017 21:49

Just a bug, I’d imagine.

DesignedForLife · 27/11/2017 21:49

Sounds like norovirus to me

PurpleMinionMummy · 27/11/2017 21:55

Ebola

stella23 · 27/11/2017 21:57

I had very similar, felt very ill, think i passed out over a bowl. Send an email that made no sense. Called my mum, but couldn't really speak. Was very sick and then o was fine. Was very strange

brapbrapbrap · 27/11/2017 21:58

I'm confused, isn't this just normal?? Isn't this how everyone experiences sickness?

I can't think of any occasion that I haven't felt faint prior to throwing up.

I have to lay down on the bathroom floor with my head in the shower base when I know I'm going to vomit, because I get so faint that I can't even hold myself up over the toilet/sink.

Isn't dizziness just part and parcel of vomiting?? I'm genuinely confused by this.

To be fair, I also get faint and nauseous when I need a number 2Blush, so maybe I'm just a dizzy kind of person. I've spent half the day feeling like I have morning sickness/food poisoning. Turns out, I just needed a really big poo.
