to be worried

hi posting for traffic really.

Weird incident at work.

I'd had a good day - really a very good day. i was feeling good. work was going well (just spelling this out because people may think I'm anxious etc... - but I really wasn't!)

Anyway, sitting at the computer in my office and I start to feel 'weird', then a bit faint. Thought maybe I needed to eat something, but then feeling of faintness and weirdness intensified. Called husband to ask him to pick me up. Feeling more and more faint and weird. Called husband back - said 'somethings wrong, please come as fast as you can'.

Wanted to lie down - but I'm in a glass office, so worried what people would think! left office in search of help as thought I was about to collapse.

Then, suddenly - projectile vomit! - I mean everywhere (majorly embarrassing). After that I felt much better.

This all happened about 4pm. I'm feeling a lot better now - but a bit spaced out and weak.

Any thoughts???? (I had a sore right arm last night - not sure if that's related, haven't experienced this before so thought I'd add it in)

Google sending me nuts! - I specifically want to know why the vomiting helped if anyone can answer that??

And should I be worried? I'm heading to doc tomorrow

thank you for any help

Sounds like a nasty sickness bug. lots of water and a day in bed and i am sure you will feel better.
if not, maybe a trip to the GP to rule out an ear infection, or just get checked over.
hope you feel better soon.

Kentnurse2015 · 27/11/2017 21:59

Why are you so worried?!!

munkynutts · 27/11/2017 22:11

Panic attack - can seemingly crop up out of nowhere

munkynutts · 27/11/2017 22:13

Now I've read how anxious you sound - deffo panic attack. Have you been under a lot of stress?

KeepTheBloodyNoiseDown · 27/11/2017 22:27

Inner ear thing? Could be something like labyrinthitis.

Domani · 27/11/2017 22:41

Brap I also feel sick when I need a no.2, wonder what it is? I don't feel faint though, just a bit unwell. Weird!

JollyGiraffe · 27/11/2017 22:44

Brap and Domani I get this too! I start to feel very sick and anxious. Then I'm fine afterwards!

OP, it does sound like a panic attack. That feeling of needing to walk around/get out and escape, combined with nausea.

sausagerollsrock · 27/11/2017 22:49

I've had this on a few occasions. One at a wedding. Wasn't alcohol related. I just came over weird, was sick luckily in the loo and was fine again. Another time I was at work.
I've never worked out what it was.

Scuttlefunge · 27/11/2017 22:52

You’re feeling better so it’s just one of those things. I wouldn’t go to the doc about ut

salequeen · 27/11/2017 23:03

@brapbrapbrap @JollyGiraffe @Domani
Isn't it to do with blood being concentrated in the intestines or well down that region ? I have to go the loo before I go out or I get anxious about feeling anxious/off if I'm out !

Domani · 28/11/2017 10:02

Sale (dd grown up) is the same, needing to go before going out or gets anxious! But she's just packed in a very stressful job (thank goodness) so hopefully she will improve. Didn't know about the blood in the intestine thing, though. OP, I see you're going to gp today. It's always best to get checked out, so good luck.
