To eat a spaghetti bolognese made last week?

I made a huge batch of spaghetti bolognese last Thursday and meant to eat/freeze it but other things got in the way. Will we be ill if we eat it?

If no fluff or fur or black, white or blue bits in the wrong places I'd nuke the bastard and then eat it. Literally get that thing hotter than the sun and I reckon you'll be fine.

Someoneasdumbasthis · 01/11/2017 18:56

I’d boil the living crap out of it and eat it tbh.

MyKingdomForBrie · 01/11/2017 19:00

Oh god yes I would, I regularly used to make a bolognese sauce to last all week when I lived alone!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 01/11/2017 19:04

I wouldn't, 3-4 days is my max for leftovers

Liiinoo · 01/11/2017 19:07

If it's been in the fridge and smells ok, tuck in. It it smells off, bin it.

I am not too fussy about dates etc but recently cooked some chicken that hadn't reached its best before. It smelled so rank I chucked it out. I trust my nose and my common sense.

TheFlis12345 · 01/11/2017 19:08

Barring any signs of mould etc. I would eat it without a second thought!

NewPapaGuinea · 02/11/2017 08:27

I'm pretty casual about use by dates etc, but nearly a week old chilli is pushing it. More the fact I wouldn't risk getting ill over a meal costing a few pounds.

NewPapaGuinea · 02/11/2017 08:28

Of course I mean spag bol 😂

moonmaker · 02/11/2017 08:34

Within 3 days - yes
Within four days - maybe
A week old spaghetti bolognese ? Madness

TealStar · 02/11/2017 08:38

Yikes. 48 hour policy in my house, unless frozen.

WeAllHaveWings · 02/11/2017 08:50

I regularly make bolognese to eat later in the week as it taste better after a couple of days. I’d definitely eat it after 6 days.

drigon · 02/11/2017 22:13

Probably would eat it as I've kept leftover beef in beer casserole made on Sunday to put into a pie on Friday before now. Just heat it up very, very well.

Ps. I liked the surreal typo.about the son being a ham sandwich earlier!

Reflexella · 02/11/2017 22:18

Dicey, I wouldn’t

kaytee87 · 02/11/2017 22:22

Usually I’d say 3 days is all you have from cooking. The third day I’d be wary, a week Envy< not envy

Loneranger14 · 02/11/2017 22:34

Sorry don't get these threads, your either go if to eat it or not. I mean will people's comments on here really change your mind, if you thought sod it I'm eating it and everybody on here so oh no don't would you throw it away? I’m still alive - I didn’t eat it in the end as it wasn’t worth risking it. Sorry to people who don’t get why people ask questions. I just do it to get a quick straw poll if I’m in 2 minds about anything.

Last Thursday as in 4 days ago... Yea I'd eat it.

Thursday before, maybe not, well I might if it looked and tasted ok but wouldn't feed it to the family!
