To stop talking to this "friend"

I posted recently about my extremely judgemental friend. Who said my house should be spotless yes spotless. With 4 kids, (one with asd) and lone parent. No family help. I was telling her how I couldn't really host things at my house as I was struggling with the house work. Anyway I got "there's no excuse" and "it's not impossible" today I thought I would mention it again to her as it's been playing on my mind and she said "I would manage to, it's doable" I said yeh you have one kid. She said "I would manage to with 5" wibu to stop talking to this so called friend as I'm finding her abit too judgemental tbh?

Mau e she was joking ?
Laugh it off
Just anyway. If friend cares about you she won't mind.

cestlavielife · 29/10/2017 10:56

Just host anyway.

Misspollyhadadollie · 29/10/2017 10:57

She isn't joking no.
When I did have her round she said "you need to put carpet on your stairs" (despite knowing I don't have the money) and she certainly wasn't joking

I'd suggest that she came round one day to show you how it's done!

Squirmy65ghyg · 29/10/2017 11:00

She's no friend. You have enough on your plate.

CoraPirbright · 29/10/2017 11:00

She sounds utterly horrible! Does she have any good points?

Misspollyhadadollie · 29/10/2017 11:02

No tbh she doesn't. Definitely gonna leave it there as I'm sick of her constant judgements.

bringbacksideburns · 29/10/2017 11:02

Why don't you ask her to come and help you?
In fact I would offer to help you if I was a decent friend.
She isn't- so why put up with it?

ILoveMillhousesDad · 29/10/2017 11:04

Tell her to prove it. She can bring her child round, look after yours, tidy the house, whilst you toddle off for the day.

pictish · 29/10/2017 11:05

Oh tell her to fuck off. She sounds like a complete dimwit.

NellyTimes · 29/10/2017 11:09

Sack her off, what a cow. She's no idea of how difficult things are for you and obviously no interest.

Being good at tidying and cleaning is literally the dullest thing to be good at. Don't know why people think they're so amazing because they can efficiently put things in a cupboard. Wow, big fucking deal.

RuggerHug · 29/10/2017 11:10

Tell her you're leaving your 4 DCs with her for the weekend and when you're over Sunday evening to pick them up you're bringing guests for a dinner party. She thinks it's no problem hosting and keeping things spotless so not a problem, right?

I'm not actually suggesting you do this as she sounds like a bitch but if she had to deal with it she might rethink her words.

Misspollyhadadollie · 29/10/2017 11:16

I wouldn't even send my kids round to tbh. In the past she has sent me pics after we left of her house tidied up. Or sent me pics of handprints they've left on her mirror.

OP posts:
Bbbbbbb · 29/10/2017 11:18

She is using you to feel better about herself.

spiderlight · 29/10/2017 11:21

She sounds vile! She's no friend.

Cornettoninja · 29/10/2017 11:22

She's a knob - disengage.

Even if friends have habits I don't agree with or their standards are lax to my eye, and vice versa, it wouldn't cross my mind to point out something I notice that doesn't matter.

Leave her to her windowlene and microfibre cloths.

pictish · 29/10/2017 11:23

Really? Who does that? She's not right.
Like bbb says, she's using you to elevate herself. Don't play her pathetic, tiny-minded game - just sack her off. She's crap.

AtrociousCircumstance · 29/10/2017 11:24

Oh, she’s just a wanker. Don’t waste any more time on her. She will never, never be anything other than the thick, nasty, judgemental troll she is now - you won’t ever be able to change her mind or force her to see sense.

Dump. Then forget.

Poshindevon · 29/10/2017 11:26

She is no friend and you should tell her to jog on.
If she were a good friend she would help you out not criticise.

CryptFascist · 29/10/2017 11:27

You don’t need to justify yourself to her, at all, ever! She sounds like a proper dickhead btw, who would send photos of their tidy house to a friend? What a dullard.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 29/10/2017 11:30

A house is where people LIVE - not where they have their possessions on display. (or it should be)

Your children can enjoy their lives - hers won't dare breathe out.

Misspollyhadadollie · 29/10/2017 11:31

Yeh tbh she's pretty bad. I have a 5 month old baby who is going through the phase of screaming every time I'm not holding her. But apparently I should leave her in a room and close the door and let her scream!

OP posts:
QueenLaBeefah · 29/10/2017 11:33

Tell her to fuck off. Life is hard enough without the housework police interfering.

ButchyRestingFace · 29/10/2017 11:33

I think your "friend" may have been posting on here the other day. Grin

Misspollyhadadollie · 29/10/2017 11:34

I seen that post! I was actually wondering if it was lol
