Providing you are able bodied obviously

OP posts:
blondiebonce · 27/10/2017 20:07

YABU. Working 5 days a week and tidying up around a 3 year old is like pissing into the wind.

didyouseethesunwasred · 27/10/2017 20:07

Haha

shivermytimbers · 27/10/2017 20:07

I could keep my home spotless. But frankly I've got other shit to do that's way more fun, so I'll happily settle for a 'fuck It, that'll do' approach Grin

PovertyPain · 27/10/2017 20:07

What ever helps make you feel superior, OP. 🙄

Neapolitanicecream · 27/10/2017 20:07

What's your routine oh well ?

pigsknickers · 27/10/2017 20:08

No it's not it's an endless fucking battle (1&3 year olds and a hairy dog)

Farontothemaddingcrowd · 27/10/2017 20:08

I love that description Blondie.
I don't have a 3 year old but I have 3 older kids and it's a nightmare. Depends on your priorities I suppose, but as a single parent who works full time, I have to accept that things slide.

Morello444 · 27/10/2017 20:08

Depends how many children you have, how many hours you work, whether you're a single parent or in a dual parent family. YABU its not easy when ur a single mum of 4 kids and work 4 days a week.

PovertyPain · 27/10/2017 20:09

like pissing into the wind
If you try that, you're going to have a really messy house. 😆

AssassinatedBeauty · 27/10/2017 20:09

Why do you care? Are you judging anyone who doesn't?

PurpleDaisies · 27/10/2017 20:09

It might be easy for you to keep your house clean. You’d have to feel pretty lacking in imagination to think that everyone is in the same circumstances as you.

MaidOfStars · 27/10/2017 20:09

I'm able bodied.
I don't have kids.
I'm pretty relaxed about the state of my plughole, thanks.

whiteroseredrose · 27/10/2017 20:10

I'd say tedious rather than easy.

PolkaDottyRose · 27/10/2017 20:10

Some days it's easy, some days it's not. Much like the rest of life.

megletthesecond · 27/10/2017 20:10

Yabu. And I call reverse.

I can't keep mine clean because the dc's make more mess than I can clear up and I have to close the door on a bomb site every morning. It was tidy during my last maternity leave 8 years ago though. I was looking at the photos yesterday Sad.

mumonashoestring · 27/10/2017 20:10

Well yes, I mean anything's easy if all you have to do is wang on about it on an internet forum to a bunch of strangers who have no idea what your lifestyle is, what your house looks like and how high/low your standards are...

shivermytimbers · 27/10/2017 20:10

tedious is indeed the word whiterose!

TheLiars · 27/10/2017 20:11

Has someone said it's not easy?

buttonmoonb4tea · 27/10/2017 20:11

And also depending on how many free hours you have in a day. Also depending on how many children there are living in the house who undo all your efforts to keep things clean and tidy like my DC

IN FACT my DC just emptied a pack of crisps on the kitchen floor whilst writing this post.

Have a Biscuit OP. Please be honoured, it's my first.

Nanna50 · 27/10/2017 20:12

Too many variables to answer such a basic statement ... It also depends what you call clean

WiccanWonder · 27/10/2017 20:12

Haha!

I have fiancé that plays warhammer, little figures and paint pots every where. And a son who believes that cleanliness is for wimps!

I feel like I'm trying to brush my teeth while eating an Oreo.

MaidOfStars · 27/10/2017 20:12

Yes, tedious. Cleaning is boring. And I've never once thought 'Ooh, you know what I'd like on my headstone - 'She kept a lovely house' '

Bollocks to that.

Sallystyle · 27/10/2017 20:13
Grin

7 of us here, with two dogs and other beasts. I work and study as well. So no, we don't find it particularly easy. My house is always kept to a certain standard, dishes done as soon as they are finished with, kitchen and bathroom always decent.

It's lived in and at the moment with it being half term it's a bit of a mess and I have no shits to give. I could have a lovely tidy and spotlessly clean home if I didn't prefer doing other fun things in my spare time.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 27/10/2017 20:13

Absolutely, Sir Goad of Grand Goadia.

Oysterbabe · 27/10/2017 20:14

I don't find it easy at all. I have a toddler and am very pregnant and knackered and work. A fairly low but acceptable to me standard is good enough round here.
