Really fancy a pizza tonight but dithering about whether to pick one up from the supermarket on my way home (cheaper) or to order one in (nicer). Help me out please!

Nicer everytime. Unless you're struggling financially.

bellabelly · 13/10/2017 17:20

Order one in.

jaseyraex · 13/10/2017 17:21

Unless you're strapped for cash, order in every time!

AdaColeman · 13/10/2017 17:21

Cheaper, it's only a pizza.
You could tart it up at home with cheese, olives anchovies too.

TheQueenOfWands · 13/10/2017 17:21

Order one!

AndrewJames · 13/10/2017 17:21

I'd make my own, much nicer than either option.

SaucyJack · 13/10/2017 17:22

Get a Dr Oetker one from the supermarket.

But I don't like take-away pizza.

Liverbird77 · 13/10/2017 17:24

Order one if possible. No mess no fuss. Tasty AF. Do it!

lastqueenofscotland · 13/10/2017 17:25

Order the greasiest one going

HaggisMuncher · 13/10/2017 17:26

Papa Johns, special offers. Am enjoying one right now and it's boss!

LockedOutOfMN · 13/10/2017 17:26

I used to like the m and s chargrilled woodfired etc posh ones when I lived in UK.

5rivers7hills · 13/10/2017 17:27

I buy an 'expensive' supermarket one like a posh supermarket margarita then add anchovies, capers, chilli and salami at home. Thats the best!

MascaraWanda · 13/10/2017 17:27

Just dawned on me that if I get one from the supermarket I can pick up wine too. I think I have a plan!

ItsNachoCheese · 13/10/2017 17:33

I have this very dilemma too mascarawanda i have a bbq chicken and bacon flatbread from asda in the fridge but at the same time dominos text me with a 50% off £15 code... ahhh what do i do?

MascaraWanda · 13/10/2017 17:40

Go with your heart Nacho. What would you order from Dominos?

OP posts:
Oswin · 13/10/2017 17:43

If you go asda get it made and get garlic oil on it. Better than any takeaway pizza. And seriously cheap.

ItsNachoCheese · 13/10/2017 17:45

Id get a double cheese double pepperoni classic crust pizza and a big garlic dip. oswin i got garlic oil on my flatbread as well haha

ShowMePotatoSalad · 13/10/2017 17:48

Always the pizza from the takeaway if the option is there.

I wish I could find pizza that tastes as good as the takeaway my parents used to use when we were kids. It was such a rare treat...pizza delivered in a red thermal bag, the thick layer of cheese, the toppings, the side order of fries covered in salt and delivered in a polystyrene container. BLISS.

vj32 · 13/10/2017 17:48

I don't like take away pizza, its always so oily. So Id go top of the range supermarket job every time. Also more interesting flavour choices (Im vegetarian).

LazyDailyMailJournos · 13/10/2017 17:49

Stop at the supermarket for wine and then order in - win, win!

Papa Johns don't cover my area but I like a Dominos. Sadly verboten at the moment as I have been LCing for the last 6 months.

snozzlemaid · 13/10/2017 17:52

I’ve just ordered from dominos. Got a 50% off code so had to be done.

yorkshireyummymummy · 13/10/2017 17:54

Stop at a supermarket and buy the best pizza they have.
Then drizzle with some olive oil before cooking.
It's not a difficult thing to cook at home.
And frankly, a good quality one cooked at home will outstrip a delivered one, simply because the delivered one sits steaming in a box for 20/30 mins which utterly ruins it. And it's double the cost.
A pizza is designed to be served hot from the oven. Not to be shoved a box, in a plastic bag and then eaten. 30 mins later. Yuk.

Frozen Chicago town stuffed crust is lovely!
