What do you all think? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? Or somewhere in between.

Some of it is good, some of it is utter rubbish. If you're not drinking the best there's no point imo

CatWranglersAnonymous · 07/10/2017 20:40

Interesting Ttbb

Just got back after a swift one at the pub...deffo good x

mypetpanda · 07/10/2017 20:42

Evil stuff. Nothing good ever comes from drinking it!

gttia · 07/10/2017 20:42

It is good! Especially as a treat on a Saturday night Smile

TwatteryFlowers · 07/10/2017 20:50

I'm neither here nor there on alcohol really. My dad is an alcoholic (not that he'd agree) and so was my step-dad (though it didn't seem to affect him as much) so I've grown up with the effects if drinking to excess. My mum otoh likes a drink but quite happily goes without. She drinks more than I do but isn't reliant upon it. I have just had some delicious port liqueur but that's my first drink in several weeks. I can either take it or leave it.

CatWranglersAnonymous · 07/10/2017 20:54

I'm just a bit worried - I think maybe I use it to block stuff out when I'm stressed or sad. I don't use it that much though.

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 07/10/2017 20:55

How much are you drinking op?

justdontevenfuckingstart · 07/10/2017 21:02

Cat look at the 'stuff', it may be more important to sort that x

CatWranglersAnonymous · 07/10/2017 21:03

Not much Purple Flowers maybe half a bottle every few months. I can go for ages without drinking, but it's more difficult if I'm a bit down and on my own, if that makes any sense.

KindergartenKop · 07/10/2017 21:04

2 pints = good
3 pints = bad

Grimbles · 07/10/2017 21:06

At the moment,it's the worst thing ever. My opinion may change once this hangover does one

PurpleDaisies · 07/10/2017 21:08

That doesn't sound like a physically harmful level but if you're not dealing with the emotional stuff, it won't help. Flowers

Is there anything you want to talk about?

alldaysleeper · 07/10/2017 21:11

Long complicated history with alcohol it has touched lots of different aspects of my life but then again I totally get the lovely sociable aspect of it but it can't be that way for me but that's cool. The British beserker attitude to "enjoying" alcohol disturbs me especially when I talk to foreign friends about their perception of us.

CatWranglersAnonymous · 07/10/2017 21:12

Thanks so much Purple FlowersFlowers I'm getting counselling at the moment for different things, but I guess the main thing at the moment is that maybe I don't feel satisfied and I also don't feel worthy of lots of things.

Makes no difference if it’s the best of the best or a £5 bottle from the Co-Op. if you enjoy it and don’t do it excessively/as an avoidance of your own reality, it’s lovely and there’s nothing wrong with it.

Grilledaubergines · 07/10/2017 21:15

Cat. I’m sorry you don’t feel worthy but you are. We all are. Keep on with your counselling and you’ll see that.

CatWranglersAnonymous · 07/10/2017 21:16

Thank you so much Grilled Flowers
