I hate my vacuum cleaner! It's a Henry and today it tangled me up and I fell, it constantly flips over and basically annoys the hell out of me. I never want to use it again! Terrible machines.

I haven't Hoover's in 2 years. We have a Neato that does it for me!

Sandsunsea · 18/09/2017 18:56

A neato?! Il have to google that. Never heard of it.

Henry is a complete arsehole. Get a Dyson without a cord!

strawberrykiss36 · 18/09/2017 18:58

I regularly used to curse my Henry, the fucking wanker. I have a cordless Hoover now and it is my dream.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/09/2017 18:58

Get a Shark , it'll beat seven shades out of the smug little Henry git.

MissBabbs · 18/09/2017 18:59

I love my little GTech chargeable carpet sweeper. So light, so quick.

hibbledobble · 18/09/2017 18:59

Yabu

I have a Henry and I love it. It has served me faithfully for 8 years.

My dad had a Dyson and the bugger broke every time it was so much as moved and he threw it away after a year.

Purplemeddler · 18/09/2017 19:00

I hate hoovers because they are (a) really heavy and (b) the cord isn't long enough and I am fed up of having to unplug and plug in somewhere else all the time.

My mum bought me a Gtech. It is fantastic. You still need a proper hoover from time to time but the Gtech is great for everyday crumbs etc.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 18/09/2017 19:13

I fucking hate Henry Hoover. I hate him so much he's put me off the name Henry! Buy a Cordless G-tech. You won't look back. I am about to buy nearly new one off my DM who has upgraded to a swanky newer cordless Dyson. I am more excited by this than by DPs promise to upgrade my vibrator

Bubblysqueak · 18/09/2017 19:20

Neato is a great robot Hoover and so much cheaper than a roomba.

Sandsunsea · 18/09/2017 19:52

Henry can now fuck the fuck off to go and live in the shed. He can come out only now and again if he is ever needed. Because I've just bought a new cordless one! And my life is going to be better. and safer.

My Henry has nearly broken my arm and snapped my neck on different occasions (we have a lot of stairs!!)

I now do them bottom to top to avoid the damn thing falling on me!

Theworldisfullofidiots · 18/09/2017 20:18

I hate my Dyson. It's crap!

MissBabbs · 19/09/2017 12:00

I think I will put Henry in the local auction - I've always hated it and get a new Gtech. I have an upright Sebo (heavy and unwieldy) for the annual spring clean.
My old upright LG was great but can no longer get spare parts.

ijustwannadance · 19/09/2017 12:07

I hate the smug little sod too and would buy a new one but I would keep henry too as there are some jobs modern vacuums are shit at and would ruin filters etc.
Like cleaning up after builing works/decorating.

ijustwannadance · 19/09/2017 12:07

*building works

PollytheDoily · 19/09/2017 12:11

I have a James.

I love my Jimmy 😍

BlaWearie · 19/09/2017 12:17

So, those of you who have cordless vacuums, which do you recommend and is there one which is lightweight and has the correct attachments to clean the stairs & the inside of the car?

DragonBone · 19/09/2017 12:18

I fucking hate my Henry and it's pretentious stupid face 😑 stupid thing can't even make it up a one inch incline without falling over like an idiot, or overheats if you don't take all the cord out 🙄
I want a dyson !

changingShorts · 19/09/2017 12:25

I loved my Henry - he sadly died after 10 years recently. I now have a Hetty (the same but a bit smaller and lighter) and love her as well.

I had a Dyson once and it was shit. Heavy and kept going wrong. Would never have one again - especially as James Dyson is a Brexit cheerleader.

DeleteOrDecay · 19/09/2017 12:30

Two words: cordless dyson. Since getting ours our 'big' vacuum has been sat in the cupboard gathering dust.

TonicAndTonic · 19/09/2017 12:33

I hate hoovering with a passion, it's hot and noisy (plus we live in a townhouse so 2 sets of stairs to hoover). DP does it all. Grin

Elendon · 19/09/2017 12:41

Cordless are total rubbish, no matter what the make. They last for such a short time, and cost so much! They fill up so quickly as well. All people do is put them back on the charger, which depletes the life of the battery. It's like going about the house with a sword in your hand.

I like to vacuum because it gives me exercise. There are a lot of cleaners on the market. I sweep my kitchen and dining room daily, wash those floors once a week.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 19/09/2017 13:44

I think it was Terry Pratchett who said "Never trust anything that grins all the time, it's probably up to something." He was talking about dolphins, but I bet it applies to Henry hoover too.
I have agreed with DH that we'll only buy another Dyson when they invent a Lego filter. Stupid heavy unreliable homicidal git that old vacuum cleaner was.
I currently have a Miele cat&dog. It's a petty thug compared to the Dyson and has only attempted ABH rather than murder. Cleans well.

It's like going about the house with a sword in your hand.

I'm struggling to understand why this is considered to be a bad thingGrin
