Yep just woke me up but o feel all warm and cosy inside.

Silvercatowner · 13/09/2017 04:17

Yeah it's a bit breezy out.

TiesThatBindMe · 13/09/2017 04:18

I don't think I watched any weather forecast today but I sure as hell wasn't expecting this.

hellokittymania · 13/09/2017 04:23

I was wondering what the heck was going on outside. I looked at the BBC and it shows severe weather until 10 AM this morning.

TiesThatBindMe · 13/09/2017 04:25

Ha! It seems wrong to turn the tv on in the middle of the night to check but holy God, the wind?

I was on Facebook live letting people listen to it, all of my family and friends in Florida just got hit by hurricane Irma and I said I think Ermolieff was visiting us. Then I check the weather and saw storm was here, different name though.

TiesThatBindMe · 13/09/2017 04:37

I'm regretting not having turned on the News today at some point. Surely they warned us of this?

Of what? A bit of wind? Hardly in the same league as Irma. Hmm

ZebraOwl · 13/09/2017 04:44

Bit brisk in London, but wind is gradually dropping - Met Office say gusts will be down to 36mph by 0700 from the 46nph they are now. The noise of it is a bit like the sea crashing on the shore - cats are rather disconcerted by it.

TiesThatBindMe · 13/09/2017 04:49

It has totally died down here now. I think. The minute I go back to bed it is sure to rile itself up again.

volovont · 13/09/2017 04:57

I like it.

Woke me up
Now I'm in bed with a cuppa. Dd still asleep. Just wish we could stay in tomorrow instead of school run with no car and a hectic day from 7am-8pm Confused

LadyBitterSparkles · 13/09/2017 06:56

DDog is very spooked by it, let her out first thing and she just barked and barked at the wind.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 13/09/2017 06:58

I knew there was due to be a storm but didn't get woken up by the wind so don't know if it missed us (we're just outside Cambridge).

It's a bit breezy here at the moment but not too bad.

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 13/09/2017 07:06

We're in North Wales which was supposed to get the brunt of it. It has been nothing our of the ordinary, we had stronger winds all throughout last week. We get much worse very often in the winter. Sounds like it hit harder elsewhere.

user1497997754 · 13/09/2017 07:07

Down in cornwall the wind has been bad for a few days now.....

LoniceraJaponica · 13/09/2017 07:08

Tis a bit windy up here (Sheffield), but nothing major.

user327854831 · 13/09/2017 07:09

Yes, there was a warning about storm Aileen but it's nothing to do with (and is nowhere near on the same scale) as Irma. It happens every autumn/winter.

scaryclown · 13/09/2017 07:09

At last! Some real weather!

EdithWeston · 13/09/2017 07:10

It's Storm Aileen

Up to 75 mph, worst in East Anglia.

Quite a lot of trees down (there are always more which go when still in leaf)

Therealslimshady1 · 13/09/2017 07:13

My outdoor table tennis table got blown to the other side of the garden, it is cracked Sad ....quite a wind here in Hants last night!

LakieLady · 13/09/2017 07:16

It was bloody noisy and kept me awake. Even the dog, who could sleep for England, couldn't settle.

I'm half expecting to find trees down when I get on to the rural roads this morning, but there's been nothing on the local news so far.

My boss lives in a flat on Brighton seafront. I bet she didn't get much sleep last night!

UrsulaPandress · 13/09/2017 07:19

I opened the window in the middle of the night to listen to it.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 13/09/2017 07:20

BBC weather app did warn us ......
it was noisy hey

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 13/09/2017 07:20

Been up most of the night, also dh who sleeps like a log. It was SO loud I thought the roof was going to blow off. Sunny today but still very windy!

Teddy7878 · 13/09/2017 07:24
