I knew there was due to be a storm but didn't get woken up by the wind so don't know if it missed us (we're just outside Cambridge).

It was shocking here (South Cambridge). They cancelled the resurfacing works on the A505 due to the weather forecast and it was a good call!

I thought a train was going past my window. Then realised I don't live near a railway. Really loud wind, and some branches blocking roads and footpaths.

I live in tge Rhondda. Quite a few trees down in nearby streets, power down relatively locally, fences and bins knocked over. I heard it a few times last night. Was worried for the dog but she slept in with dad last night and slept through

V windy here in London overnight, woken up around 1.30 with windows rattling. Closed them but as they are old sash windows they still rattled away. Seems to have died down a little but still quite blowey.

Just off to walk the dog - do love windy walks!

I live on a hill in Cheshire it's been really bad!
This is Aileen but the next storm in the U.K. Will be Brian!

My 19 month old had me up in the middle of the night and it was wild here in East Anglia. Particularly annoying since a tall tree was meant to be taken down yesterday by s tree surgeon who didn't turn up and won't be rescheduling. So now I'm back to worrying every windy day/night and will have to go back to trying to get a tree surgeon to 1) quote a reasonable price and 2) actually turn up.

Surely they warned us of this

They did, there was a weather warning out on Monday for winds up to 75mph on Tuesday/early Wednesday

Ameliablue · 13/09/2017 08:24

There was definitely yellow weather warnings here on news and weather (Strathclyde) but we didn't get the worst of it.
