My beautiful girls comment (from EX)

Emboo19 · 10/09/2017 20:48

Have very recently broken up with my daughters dad (he cheated). I'm currently on holiday, which he should have been on too if he wasn't a dirty cheat.
Anyway, posted a photo earlier of me and DD on instagram and he's just commented, my beautiful girls (love heart eyes and heart emojis included).
I know I'm not unreasonable to think wft!! But am I unreasonable to comment back, I'm not your fucking girl anymore, remember you fucked someone else!

For what it's worth we are trying to be civil and get on for DD's sake, so I know I should just politely message him and say I don't think it's appropriate.
But I'm currently sat with a not very well DD for the second night in a row and I'm feeling really rageful towards him!!

Fucking hell what a tosser
Can you delete the comment?

Hunkle · 10/09/2017 20:50

Block him. You need a private life and that includes your photos.

missiondecision · 10/09/2017 20:51

Best to ignore.
Don't feed the twat.

Trb17 · 10/09/2017 20:52

Delete the comment and then message him to tell him it's not appropriate any more.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 10/09/2017 20:52

Ignore. He's only doing it to make himself look good.

Aderyn17 · 10/09/2017 20:54

Agree you should ignore - you don't want him to know that what he says has the power to upset you.
Also agree that you should block his access to your fb. You don't want him seeing into your life so easily.

kittybiscuits · 10/09/2017 20:54

Just put '^My cheating ex' directly underneath it.

FallingOrbit · 10/09/2017 20:54

I wouldn't - ignoring someone is the highest form of insult, don't dignify it or give it credibility with a response.

Shumpalumpa · 10/09/2017 20:55

How come ge can comment? Is he still an Instagram friend?

Subtlecheese · 10/09/2017 20:55

Remove the comment without a word. If he queries it ask him to keep it appropriate.
I hope that your daughter feels better soon!

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 10/09/2017 20:57

Just ignore him - don't retaliate. He wants a reaction. Say nothing.

kittybiscuits · 10/09/2017 20:59

^ They are right. Ignore him. All the way.

user1499786242 · 10/09/2017 20:59

Don't retaliate, will come across bad especially on social media
Just delete the comment and don't even mention it to him! Act as if it literally hasn't even happened!

ILoveMillhousesDad · 10/09/2017 21:00

Oooh god, I would be fuming. Cheeky fucker. I would be tempted to put something, but sensible me thinks delete and ignore.

MrsPicklesonSmythe · 10/09/2017 21:01

Delete pic, block him, repost it

notanotherNC · 10/09/2017 21:15

Why haven't you blocked him?

Emboo19 · 10/09/2017 21:16

I know everyone is right! I should just delete and ignore it.
And that's what sensible me will do, but how I wish for just once I didn't have to be the sensible one!

OP posts:
MadMags · 10/09/2017 21:17

I would comment *girl, singular.

But I'm obviously not as mature as other posters.

I would definitely block him from all social media!

Emboo19 · 10/09/2017 21:17

He's not blocked as we agreed we'd keep each but other as friends so we could share pics of DD. Tbf neither of us really use it all that much, so didn't see a problem with it. In fact I can't remember the last time he even commented on one of my photos before now!

OP posts:
MadMags · 10/09/2017 21:23

Well then I'd message him and remind him that he's only on there to see pics of dd but if he comments inappropriately one more time, you're blocking him.

Emboo19 · 10/09/2017 21:25

Thank you Subtlecheese she's got a ear infection, my poor baby. Doctor gave antibiotics and she's feeding loads, so hopefully it's cleared up before we fly home, but no more swimming for her and she loves it!

He knew I was alone with her tonight too, everyone's out for my godmums birthday. Which is just making me feel even more rageful towards him.

OP posts:
Emboo19 · 10/09/2017 21:49

Hmm, so I went to delete and a friend as replied to his comment, eh? Pretty sure emboo dumped you, no?
Now I haven't technically written anything and I might not have even seen it yet, internet is being a bit hit and miss. So is it terribly immature if I leave it up a while? He looks like the idiot doesn't he?

OP posts:
MadMags · 10/09/2017 21:51

Leave it and report back! Grin

Your friend is brilliant.

Stormwhale · 10/09/2017 21:51

Yes. Definitely leave it. What a cock.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 10/09/2017 21:53

And that's what good friends are for :)
