Why would you when you could do something interesting?

gettingbacktoresearch · 27/08/2017 19:47

God no, don't do it!!!

ChasedByBees · 27/08/2017 19:48

It will be hell on Earth Grin

I'd do it though, the worst thing for me there is always the parking.

toomuchprosecco · 27/08/2017 19:48

I went on friday it was mayhem! good luck!
if you haven't been lately there is quite a bit of roadworks going on as you go in, due to all the building work. I work in the Tesco next door to it and it gets really backed up.

milliemolliemou · 27/08/2017 19:48

Hottest day of the year and you want to go shopping? If you can just walk there, fine. Otherwise why don't you bask?

BlueKarou · 27/08/2017 19:49

I was there on Friday, left with one pair of Clarks toddler shoes and otherwise feeling very underwhelmed.

WineAndTiramisu · 27/08/2017 19:49

Get there early and leave early, will still be hell though...

BrainSaysNo · 27/08/2017 19:49

I'm all up for a bit of Bicester shopping, but on a bank holiday- its a no from me...
Do you normally like shopping together, I cant think of anything worse Grin

cautiousoptimist1 · 27/08/2017 19:50

No don't do it, the roadworks are crazy!

VanillaFrosties · 27/08/2017 19:50

Nooooooo - not MORE roadworks SadAngry

Thanks for the tip off about the weather. I'm off to do a quick Google.

We like shopping together but we only ever get to do it once a year.

MamaOfTwos · 27/08/2017 19:54

Get there as it opens, hit Ralph Lauren first as it's always messy and heaving within 2 hours of it opening, cath kidston and Ted Baker ditto. Mulberry and other 'naice' Boutiques don't usually get too mental until 2pm onwards

chowmeinchick · 27/08/2017 19:57

I used to work there and would ever tell anyone to go there - it's not worth it.

VanillaFrosties · 27/08/2017 19:58

We are planning to get there at 9am .... you're right. It's going to be 26 degrees.

BackforGood · 27/08/2017 20:22

Confused as you say you "like shopping together" but your title says "drag dh to Bicester"

So, if you both like shopping, then do whatever floats your boat.
If (as title suggests) your dh doesn't, then YABVU.

VanillaFrosties · 27/08/2017 20:43

"Drag" as in it's Bank Holiday Monday and it will be hell.

OP posts:
Binglesplodge · 27/08/2017 20:45

Really don't do it. We live nearby: bank holiday parking is utterly insane and tomorrow is going to be gorgeous. Do something nice. A walk, a pub lunch, anything other than argue in a car park!

Mellington · 27/08/2017 20:46

Why not book a day off work and go during the week, or go one evening. A bank holiday Monday will be a living hell.

theaveragewife · 27/08/2017 20:48

I used to work there and would ever tell anyone to go there - it's not worth it.

Why, just out of interest?

LoyaltyAndLobster · 27/08/2017 20:49

I advise you not to go on a bank holiday, there is going to be ALOT of people and you will have to queue to get into certain shops.

The best time and day to go is during term time and on a Wednesday!

Timefor2 · 27/08/2017 20:50

Noooo! Make the most of sunny bank holiday - such a rarity!

VanillaFrosties · 27/08/2017 20:52

It's a childcare thing. We had plans to go mid-week last month but the child care fell through at the last minute. Tomorrow is the only childfree day we can get until December.

"Drag" as in it's Bank Holiday Monday and it will be hell

Well, haven't you answered your own question then ? Confused

If you think it "will be hell" then why on earth would you go ??? Confused

YokoReturns · 27/08/2017 21:28

Come to a BBQ at mine instead, it'll be fun! I live 10 mins away

VanillaFrosties · 27/08/2017 21:46

PM me your address and I'll double park in your driveway and start bin wars WinkGrin

I showed DH this thread and we've both bottled out.
