It's been going in for nearly a week now. Warm bath, read my book, feel sleepy, then, as soon as my head hits the pillow am wideabloodywake! Any fellow sufferers?

Same here, I was so desperate the other night I googled sounds to help sleep... it didn't work Hmm I'm lying in bed with a cuppa now browsing on here, feeling peckishGrin

Tryittheotherway · 27/08/2017 01:46

I had a friend texting me for hours at god knows what time the other night, it kept me company while I couldn't sleep but I was looking at the time thinking FFS I'm gonna have 2 year old waking me up in a couple of hours while my friend is childless an can sleep in!!Sad god I miss my sleep!

MamaBear001 · 27/08/2017 01:46

Yup! I don't help myself really I seem to end up here so many nights!

Stubborn...

Dread feeling tired in the morning I'm being made to get up at 8 ON A SUNDAY to go see the floats at Notting hill carnival ;-)

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 27/08/2017 01:47

Ooh I'm trying to not think about food. First day of not eating after 6pm ( usually crisps etc ) and can't stop thinking about tea and hot buttery toast......

MumBod · 27/08/2017 01:56

Me.

It's a pain in the arse.

Zvandelle · 27/08/2017 01:59

I'm so tired!!! Also thinking about toast...

BlackberryQ · 27/08/2017 01:59

Me! I'm in a frigging damp tent with a restless dd who keeps on booting my pregnant bladder and I haven't worked out if I can take Sominax during pregnancy yet!

Have you tried it? It's good

SerfTerf · 27/08/2017 01:59

Yep, me too.

I can't find the right kind of MN thread to lurk sleepily on either Sad

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 27/08/2017 02:05

AIBU for someone to eat crisps in bed as no bread left ? ( Not me obviously....)

If you dip them in mayo, they'll be low-crumb and then YWNBU.

hellokittymania · 27/08/2017 02:12

Here, maybe this will cheer everyone up. My mom was reading things on international arbitration to me on Skype and this was the cat ..... I wish he could have written my essay!

I turned both of my essays in yesterday and was awake for 24 hours plus, so last night I slept for 14 hours. I've had three coffees today and I'm wide-awake now.

SerfTerf · 27/08/2017 02:14

You pulled an all nighter and got Two in? Go you! Smile

I don't know if that cat is concentrating hard or dozing off!

showergel1 · 27/08/2017 02:14

Yup. Insomnia is playing up again and even my go to cure of listening to documentaries isn't cutting it.
Still, managed to do some planning for school so it's not been wasted dead time.

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 27/08/2017 02:16

( definitely NOT thinking about chocolate - no not me )

I accidentally slept in until 9 this month so am wide awake now. I really envy those people who can just sleep/nap on demand. It would be my superpower if I could choose one.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 27/08/2017 02:18

Month = morning!

UpsyDaisyluvsIgglePiggle · 27/08/2017 02:19

Tired but wide awake as someone tried to steal my fridge. Currys delivered our new fridge today which DID NOT fit through the front door. (who measures?!) Luckily FIL is over tomorrow and is taking door out to replace it. Issue is fridge is outside front door at side of our house, DH is out watching boxing with mates. I'm home alone with a 2 year old. Good news is our Alsatian heard the drive gate go and used his big dog bark and whoever came to check out our new fridge has made a break for it leaving gate open. Twats. I'm in bed watching TV armed with the loft hatch stick protecting my cub!

unicornsandroses · 27/08/2017 02:21

Me. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and been up for the loo and to down a load of gaviscon and now I can't sleep. It's so hot and I'm just rolling around like an injured walrus. Been getting achy feelings every now and again so I'm reading old labour stories and can't sleep. Third baby so I know I'm likely to have this for weeks before finally going overdue like the last two times.

hellokittymania · 27/08/2017 02:21

She said he fell asleep later on! He tries to type on her keyboard as well. 😂

I just have to wait for a few weeks, easier said than done. But both essays were 3000 words. First time ever I have achieved such a thing. My poor mother was falling asleep by the time I had to turn them in.

Curlyhepburn · 27/08/2017 02:23

Im a chronic insomniac, its a horrible thing.
Ive got a pot of homemade soup on the go and im baking bread to go with it!

If youre not normally like this sometimes its good to buy something from the pharmacy, normal nightol will get you sleeping no probs but if you prefer the herbal nightol has a herb whos name escapes me atm , which is the most popular remedy for sleeplessness in usa.
Or if all else fails have a fewWineGinWineGinWink

I am wide awake too and my DS is getting married tomorrow or rather today! Am so happy for him so no idea why I can't sleep. Going to be so knackered tomorrow.

Blogwoman · 27/08/2017 02:28

I keep waking up in the middle of the night then not being able to get back to sleep for hours. Wide awake now as woke to find my 17 year old isn't back & was expecting to be home a couple of hours ago... now I'm really worried...
