It's been going in for nearly a week now. Warm bath, read my book, feel sleepy, then, as soon as my head hits the pillow am wideabloodywake! Any fellow sufferers?

Trinity I might give the cake a miss but have a drink. She was with friends at one of their houses and a friend was going to bring her home. She normally texts when she gets in but hasn't texted to tell me plans have changed. Trying not to think of them in a ditch somewhere...

MistressDeeCee · 27/08/2017 02:40

Same here. Just had a shower to wind me down. Now Im sitting here with fan going - but I am menopausal! I don't get the sweats, just a gradual internal heat that grows and makes me feel so bloody hot. My sleep's been fucked for weeks. Going to chill out listen to music on low in a bit, so will hopefully drift off

beelover ahh thats great, enjoy the day Smile

Have a cuppa (or something stronger WinkGrin) probably a dead battery & just decided to crash at a pal's!! Have you tried her phone ?

Blogwoman · 27/08/2017 02:44

Trinity yes hopefully something like that, but she's normally reliable about texting. I'm now wishing I'd set up location sharing so I could track her phone...

Itis6oclocksomewhere · 27/08/2017 02:47

I'm wide awake too.
I was asleep but a noise from next door woke me. Any noise wakes me at the moment and I used to be a deep sleeper.
Will mumsnet for a bit and then try counting sheep!

Blogwoman · 27/08/2017 02:55

Phew - DD just got back. Didn't see my texts & assumed I'd be asleep. Friend was delaying them leaving. Will finish my drink then get to bed. Hope you all get some sleep soon too.

Supermagicsmile · 27/08/2017 02:58

I am up tonight. I have to be up in 6 hours and haven't slept a wink.

CiderwithBuda · 27/08/2017 03:00

I'm awake too. Went to sleep earlyish but woke at 11.30 to go,to the loo. Have dozed since but DS (16) has a couple of friends staying and I could hear them downstairs. They are going to watch the McGregor fight. They are supposed to be sleeping now and setting alarm for nearer the time but I can hear them chatting faintly.

I've just taken a Kalms but am not hopeful.

brummiesue · 27/08/2017 03:04

I am currently awake with a 4 week old who has gotten into the dreadful habit of staying awake whinging for 2hrs in the night after feeding. It's really wearing me down Sad

Katkincake · 27/08/2017 03:14

Hello - 2nd night in a row for me. Should be sleeping like a baby as did hard work in garden all day then went out for a meal with wine, but no.
Have tapered off amitriptyline I've been on for back pain and I'm so tempted to go and take one as I'll zonk out in mins!

DH is snoring and can't do my usual trick of going to the cold bed in the spare room as my parents are stopping with us, plus I've left my glasses in their room so can't even go downstairs and read, squinting and holding phone in the dark is hard enough

Beelover - have a fab day

WildCherryBlossom · 27/08/2017 03:33

My insomnia goes in phases. Very bad at the moment. My husband rolled over a couple of hours ago and, realising I was awake, said "you should have some knitting by the bed to do when you can't sleep" Hmm

WildCherryBlossom · 27/08/2017 03:36

Brummiesue it's very early days. I'm sure your 4 week old will change its sleep habits soon.

WildCherryBlossom · 27/08/2017 03:54

Oh my goodness. I'm all alone on the insomnia thread 😂😂😂. How sad!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 27/08/2017 04:02

Whoops, sorry. Crash that is really scary. Not surprised you can't sleep now. Flowers

todgerthedodger · 27/08/2017 04:06

No you're not. Wide awake here from 2 am (like most nights, sadly) but I'm going to try to go back to bed now and get an hour.

Crashbangwhatausername · 27/08/2017 04:10

I'm wishing I had some ingredients to bake something now I'm too scared to sleep.

I'm awake, feeding ds and now thinking about ex who left us on Monday! Our ds is only 8 months old!

LakieLady · 27/08/2017 06:20

I don't have trouble getting to sleep, but staying asleep is a different matter.

I've been awake since 3.30 (went to sleep about midnight), and I know I'm going to feel really crap in a few hours. And I'm bored, and wondering what's the earliest I could start mowing the lawn without BU ....

Dowser · 27/08/2017 08:29

I've had another bad night.
Slept till 2-30 ( 2.5 hours sleep, then that's it)
Woke with a headache.
Hate that.
Going to google sominax

Dowser · 27/08/2017 08:30

I'm on holiday lakei lady and the only driver, so that stresses me which compounds the problem.
