We shouldn't lose track of the overall picture though.

Trump is being pursued by the inquiry. He is facing potential impeachment.

So this week alone we've had a) a threatened nuclear war and b) a shocking support for Nazis - all to get us to talk about anything but the fact that there are many valid grounds for impeachment.

Trump's always been a fascist - nothing new there, and anyone who didn't spot this before the election wasn't looking very hard. He has already disgraced the office of President multiple times over.

What matters now is the work going on behind the scenes to remove him.

When was the last time anybody asked about Russia? How many of the recent events are intentionally being used as distraction and how many are genuine? When Trump says Nazis are good guys, we need to say 'Tell us about Russia'.

And keep doing that, every time he tries to change the subject, to nuking Koreans, or nice Nazis, or whatever.

When was the last time anybody asked about Russia? How many of the recent events are intentionally being used as distraction and how many are genuine?

I'm sure Mueller hasn't been distracted and that's the main thing really, and I doubt the GOP are happy with yesterday's press conference even if it did shift attention from the Russia probe.

And white supremacy is very much a Putin theme too. It's possible the main aim of Russian in interference in the US (and elsewhere) is disruption and paralysis, but Putin really won't be upset at displays of white nationalist fascism in the US.
