Not sure if this is an AIBU post but more of a what the f* is going on post.

I cannot be the only one with this problem. THE GUSSET IN YOUR UNDERWEAR! They are meant to provide extra security and catch any discharge and vaginal fluids so why the hell is it so sodding difficult to find a pair where the gusset is not up my backside? Is this a problem with anyone else or is my body shape just abnormal?

No you're not the only one! Underwear is driving me mad at the moment. The gusset thing is the worst!

The other thing is that nice knickers are all too shallow for me if that makes sense.. they're not deep enough! I'm tall and have a longish body, and every pair I try dont pull up enough no matter what size they are! I dont want huge bridget jones pants, just some that are deep/long enough to cover my bum and sit on my lower stomach!

AlpacaLipsNow · 11/08/2017 21:20

That's why I've succumbed to cotton granny pants. I bought some after my c section and have never gone back. Bye bye frillies, you will not be missed!

MoonPower · 11/08/2017 21:27

Yep the gusset thing totally!

ethelfleda · 11/08/2017 21:31

Yep. Even more annoying now am pregnant!

Charley50 · 11/08/2017 21:37

I've just converted to big granny knickers and I love them. So fucking comfy. Tbh I didn't have gusset dramas, more riding up, knicker eating arse scenarios. Giant knickers have put paid to that.

Motherof3beautfulgirls · 11/08/2017 21:53

I think there might just be an opening in the market!!!!

I've often wondered who designs knickers as they seem to have no idea about the female body.
Not only is the gusset in the wrong place but it is often stupidly skinny too.
I resort to big Sloggis these days.

Auchan · 11/08/2017 22:02

Big Bridget Jones granny knickers here too. They're practically under my armpits and I love them. They cover everything. I've got a lot of loose skin on my belly as I lost 8 stone so it keeps it all nicely tucked in Grin

BikeRunSki · 11/08/2017 22:05

You're all talking pants !Wink

Aquamarine1029 · 11/08/2017 22:08

I fucking hate underwear and that's why I usually don't wear any. After decades of never being able to find comfortable ones and a near nervous breakdown at work due to a pair that were so far up my ass I almost choked on them, I fucking gave up. Commando for me and I don't give a shit.

SabineUndine · 11/08/2017 22:11

Knicker liners. I can't do without. Even Granny pants are scanty in the gusset.

SabineUndine · 11/08/2017 22:12

Blimey Auchan forget the knickers, how did you lose 8st please?

youarenotkiddingme · 11/08/2017 22:16

I e just switched to Debenhams cotton boxers. I get them in 3 for 2 but my word they are comfy and they actually have a gusset in the gusset area Grin

hiphopcat · 11/08/2017 22:17

I don't get the problem. You don't have to buy tiny underpants. Buy normal comfy ones. Like those

<

Who the heck is going to see them?! Confused

LockedOutOfMN · 11/08/2017 22:22

Yes about gussets. I'm yanking to try and get it in the right place every 15 minutes. Blush

I bought a 3 pack of Primark trouser knickers (i.e. meant to be invisible under trousers, but I didn't buy them for that, I bought them cause the cotton was so soft) which are massive and really comfy.

Welldoneme · 11/08/2017 22:24

I really dislike an extra wide gusset I feel as if I got a tent flapping around!

RockyRoadster · 11/08/2017 22:32

Oh thank God, I thought I must be deformed! The gusset is totally in the wrong place for me as well.

WetDayInAugust · 11/08/2017 22:41

Shorts style- I like ultimo ones

TheThingsWeAdmitOnMN · 11/08/2017 22:43

Matalan. Seemless knickers. Decent gusset in the right place. They're off to one side, not with all the lacy, printed ones, they come in white, flesh & black and changing seasonal colours. sMLXxl with a couple of different widths at the side. I prefer the wide sides. They're not exactly sexy, very plain & boring, but they stay where they should ought to be and are bloody comfy. Any time I pull out the cute pants or the sexy pants I wonder why I keep them. Not comfortable, not practical. Doesn't appear to have had a negative impact on my sex life, but if it was to, he'd get told ''Tough'. When you're prepared to wear frilly uncomfortable, ineffective pants instead of comfy boxers, then we'll talk' 🤣 But the man has more sense!

FabulouslyGlamorousFerret · 11/08/2017 22:44

M&S granny pants 5 pack with the lace top just to remind you that you are meant to have shave your legs and have sex every now and then 👍🏻

SirVixofVixHall · 11/08/2017 22:45

I'm like Amanduh, tall and so everything is either too big, or fails to cover my bottom and sits in my c-section scar. The gusset thing is so annoying, they all seem to be stitched too far back.

Maria1982 · 11/08/2017 22:45

amanduh I hear you. I too am 'long in the crotch' (who even knew that was a thing)

My solution is high leg briefs from Debenhams. They go up enough without having acres of fabric

SirVixofVixHall · 11/08/2017 22:46

I like big sloggies, but they dig in at the top of my thighs. Sad.

Waterlemon · 11/08/2017 22:46

Me too!

I also can only wear cotton underwear! Trying to find cotton pants is a nightmare in itself, let alone comfy cotton pants with a gusset in the right place!

I did like bhs high leg, Sad M&S sometimes do decent cotton high legs in the pick and mix bit (not the multi-packs, they're too skimpy) but I've now moved on to of high-waist shorts style, I like uniqlo or occasionally M&S will have cotton shorts.

InferiorDecorator · 11/08/2017 22:47

These are amazing and don't do that. I wear mine daily and if you don't tumble dry them, they last for aaaaaaages.

And by daily I mean with washing and I have 9 pairs...
