Resurrecting zombie threads

Please, please, please stop resurrecting zombie threads. This is a note to the user @Iazarus I have seen about 10 in the last 10 minutes and you're the culprit every time. People find it annoying and the people who posted on them will not be around to read your comments.

Cheers

Scrumptious I think the OP was objecting to resurrecting zombie threads not 1970's desserts! And the James Martin recipe with strawberries & white chocolate is the best!

ShatnersWig · 07/02/2018 14:22

I just did a search for username @lazarus or just lazarus and nothing popped up???

MyKingdomForBrie · 07/02/2018 14:23

scrumptious did you put a reminder in your phone to come and resurrect this precisely six months later?!

BarbaraofSevillle · 07/02/2018 14:25

Ha ha. A zombie thread about zombie threads has been resurrected.

Was it deliberate? I blame Boo who must be Lazarus and
Scrumptioussafarisuppers Confused.

BarbaraofSevillle · 07/02/2018 14:25

No, she's jumped the gun a bit, she's 2 hours early Grin.

CruCru · 07/02/2018 14:26

To be fair, I have resurrected a couple of my old threads - ones where I'd asked for advice and then gave an update a few months later. I hope people don't mind that.

Oh, for heaven's sake, I've just realised about the dates. Sorry, am a bit tired.

ShatnersWig · 07/02/2018 14:29

Tee hee. Sorry for helping make it sound real

Trashboat · 07/02/2018 14:30

Sometimes the OP gets an berated if they dare to start a thread on something that has already been discussed in the last year, when someone says 'there has already been 20 threads on this'

I think some people are scared to start threads in case they get the eyeroll, so do a search and add to the thread, which it turns out is a zombie.

I’m going to add to this thread in a year or two

Aridane · 07/02/2018 17:58

scrumptoius - wh do you,add cornflour and vinegar to the recipe?

Aridane · 07/02/2018 17:58

(Sorry for typos)

OutsideContextProblem · 07/02/2018 18:01

The cornflour and vinegar keep it chewy in the middle I think.

Aridane · 07/02/2018 18:01

Ah, that’s interesting. Thanks

geekone · 07/02/2018 18:06

scrumptoius I am really disappointed that you didn't do this on purpose lol

Mulberry72 · 07/02/2018 18:06

Once it’s cooked turn the oven off and leave the meringue in the oven till the ovens gone cold. That’s what makes it gorgeous & chewy.

RainbowGlitterFairy · 07/02/2018 18:08

I can't be the only one that got the Lazarus/resurrection link? Pretty sure the resurrecting zombie threads was deliberate.

Thishatisnotmine · 07/02/2018 18:10

I love that someone has gained a pavlova tip from this!

PanPanPanPing · 07/02/2018 18:22

As this is a most amusing zombie thread, I give you one of the funniest zombie threads www.mumsnet.com/Talk/general_advice_tips/752184-hauck-stroller-pound-25-Asda

Started in 2009 but with no answers at all, the OP finally replied to herself in 2012 Grin
