Every other thread I've looked at today on AIBU is from years back.

What is going on? Is it the same poster? can they be stopped??

It is totally fucking me off.

Read the title, think 'ooh interesting' and then look at the date and realise I've already read the bugger years ago.

There's a lot of weird sodding threads being started today as well.

JohnLapsleyParlabane · 07/08/2017 16:19

One of them was revived by a 'lazarus'...

Crunchymum · 07/08/2017 16:20

The 3 I've just been on have been revived by same posted so I've reported.

RiverTam · 07/08/2017 16:20

I've just posted in one of lazarus's resurrections, having clocked the name on another, annoyingly. Bored teenager?

YouTheCat · 07/08/2017 16:21

I believe there are a number of bored teens about today.

I'm going to start reporting as it is pissing me off.

roundtable · 07/08/2017 16:22

Distraction maybe?

They're all from a similar era.

Sparklingbrook · 07/08/2017 16:24

I hate zombie threads but today if it's interesting I will take one over the other stuff all over the boards.

MusicToMyEars800 · 07/08/2017 16:27

This reminds me yet again to check the blooming date of the threads that I read, I keep forgetting to.

GinnyWreckin · 07/08/2017 16:30

It's hankering back to simpler times.

Other wise there's a shortage of brains and the zombies are hungry.

roundtable · 07/08/2017 16:35

You can tell they're zombies as posters are saying 'bullshit' or 'this didn't happen' and haven't been deleted.

YouTheCat · 07/08/2017 16:44

I think the person bumping the zombie threads is possibly a PBP, hence their name.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 07/08/2017 16:46

Annoying but it was good to see one from Mario that I'd missed the first time around (who knows how!)

Genghi · 07/08/2017 16:47

MN should delete or lock posts if they don't want zombie threads revived. They haven't so they clearly don't care as much as some of the posters.

MipMipMip · 07/08/2017 16:52

I did one yesterday. But it was a silly one, lots of single post stories, rather than one wanting advice. So was introducing it to hew readets. And I did start my post with "Hello zombies"!

Why do people get so annoyed by zombie threads?
Sometimes the posts are interesting, sometimes not, like the usual mnet threads.

WorraLiberty · 07/08/2017 17:06

Why do so many people blame this sort of behaviour on teenagers? Confused

What self respecting teenager would be hanging around on a parenting website, bumping zombie threads?

They'd be far more likely to stick to annoying people on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter if they were that bored.

Sparklingbrook · 07/08/2017 17:08

Yes, can't imagine my two teens joining MN, they are too busy having social lives and playing PS4. Grin

Allthebestnamesareused · 07/08/2017 17:24

Maybe its a bored teacher Grin

hiphopcat · 07/08/2017 17:25

They always say 'I was googling this subject and this thread came up.'

Bollocks did it.

And yeah it is annoying! Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 07/08/2017 17:27

And why are the threads that get bumped always pages long too?

OstentatiousWanking · 07/08/2017 17:29

It's Jeffery and his mates. It's that time of year.

AmysTiara · 07/08/2017 17:31

It's probably MNHQ hoping to distract people from the other issue.

leccybill · 07/08/2017 17:33

Quite, AmysTiara.

Crunchymum · 07/08/2017 17:34

It's very cloak and dagger today? Who is Jeffery and what is the other issue?
