Trump gets a folder full of positive things about himself twice a day
But even so ... he's also supposedly hooked on cable news. He's obviously aware of what media reports about him look like in general, or he wouldn't be lashing out at them so much. He must have seen the unprecedented numbers of people protesting his inauguration. He's welded onto Twitter as though it were his conjoined twin - and even on there, he gets a bashing in the responses each time he posts. And there's more.
He can't possibly be completely unaware what the general perception of him is - especially not as one of the few things that he's actually been successful at is branding.
He's either in complete and utter denial to the extent of pathological delusion, or he's being deliberately disingenuous. Or both.
Or I was right all along and it really is a case of mixed-up parallel dimensions - ironically one of the more logically sound explanations for Trump I can think of.
