To think that a hangover breakfast

BadlyParkedRangeRover · 06/08/2017 13:21

Is more than a single sausage, an egg and a slice of toast Sad
I'm so hungry. Out celebrating a birthday last night and the friend I'm staying with said she'd do breakfast, and that's all we got. Yes I know in reality its probably a sensible portion but my hangover disagrees

Was that a sample?
Is she in the kitchen cooking up the rest??

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 06/08/2017 13:22

How many people is she feeding?

hiphopcat · 06/08/2017 13:23

Am I going mad? I am sure I saw this thread somewhere on here yesterday?! Confused

TheStoic · 06/08/2017 13:23

That's probably the amount she normally eats.

Spam88 · 06/08/2017 13:23

No bacon...?

Itwillbefine1 · 06/08/2017 13:24

I had 2 baked eggs in a tomato chorizo and spinach sauce, toast (2 slices with butter) and a pot of tea.
A walk is all I need now.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 06/08/2017 13:24

No Bacon?

Never speak to her again 😉

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/08/2017 13:25

Urgh, I feel for you OP. Portion size aside, where are the hash browns?!

BadlyParkedRangeRover · 06/08/2017 13:26

There are 3 people staying over.
I went to the shop earlier for coffee (she doesn't drink it) and asked if she needed anything so it's not a lack of supply.
Meant to be here until late afternoon.

Two eggs, two sausages, two bits of bacon and two slices of toast/fried bread. Anything less is not acceptable! Grin

DramaInPyjamas · 06/08/2017 13:28

Say - "oh lovely starter, whats for main course" Grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 06/08/2017 13:29

Ask to make some more?

BadlyParkedRangeRover · 06/08/2017 13:31

still i thought about it. But I think she'd be offended

My ideal cooked breakfast is veggie Lincolnshires, poached or fried egg, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes fried in garlic oil with smoked paprika, tattie scone, and hash browns, served with tea and toast, obviously. So yes, you were definitely cheated, OP.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 06/08/2017 13:34

"I'm still hungry , can I make myself some more eggs please", Smile

BadlyParkedRangeRover · 06/08/2017 13:35

I've never had a tattie scone. It sounds tasty.
A brisk walk had just been suggested. I'm trying to work out what I've done to offend her.
apart from disparage her breakfast on the internet

DioneTheDiabolist · 06/08/2017 13:35

Maybe that's just First Breakfast, you know when you're so hungover you're not sure how much you can eat or if you'll be sick or need to have a lie down. So you have First Breakfast and then have Second/Real Breakfast an hour and a half later.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/08/2017 13:35

Step 1: say you feel very ill and need to go home urgently.

Step 2: leave without a backward glance and go in search of greasy carbs.

Step 3: take greasy carbs home.

Step 4: lie on your sofa all afternoon eating said greasy carbs and watching crap tv.

Hangover = mostly bareable cured!

BadlyParkedRangeRover · 06/08/2017 13:37

still
I'll try it. I'm staying this afternoon to help with a fiddly project. I'll claim I can't concentrate when I'm hungry

OP posts:
StillStayingClassySanDiego · 06/08/2017 13:38

Try it, I can't see how she'd be offended if she's a mate. Smile.

liz70 · 06/08/2017 13:39

Never had tattie scones? You haven't lived! Perfect with a cooked breakfast, especially lightly toasted and dipped in yolk! Mmm!

BobbinThreadbare123 · 06/08/2017 13:41

Two sausage, two rashers of bacon, egg, grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash browns and either black pudding or an Ulster fry. Plus copious tea, coffee and orange juice. Anything else is just a starter.

BadlyParkedRangeRover · 06/08/2017 13:44

Right.

I did it. There was a raised eyebrow. I said I thought I was still a bit drunk and it would help. I'm going to make more toast
