He is looking after ds this afternoon as I have to go to dd's easter craft workshop.

I haven't left him here on his own since he moved out and I am almost 100% certain that he will have a mooch.

Was thinking of putting something behind my door so if he opens the door I will know.

sorry meant 'ds' and 'he'

morningpaper · 28/03/2007 12:26

selotape

LoveMyGirls · 28/03/2007 12:27

I would if he doesnt go in then he wont know you put anything in there.

I would seleotape a hair to the door and door frame if he opens the door the hair will break, when you get back if there hair is still intact he wont have been in.

NuttyMuffins · 28/03/2007 12:28

Nah he won't take him out.

Well Ds doesn't normally go in my room unless I am in there because there is nothing for him to do in there.

I was going to put a small soft toy on the floor, when i get back if i open the door a crack and it's still there then no one has been in, if it's been pushed up to the shirting then he's been in.

If he goes in there I will rip his head off.

talcum powder on the carpet

you will see footprints

NuttyMuffins · 28/03/2007 12:38

Good idea Kanga, but I don't have any carpet in my room.

If he doesn't go in then I will be pleasantly surprised.

What about taping the door shut in an obvious way. And a no entry sign.

Do you want to avoid him going in or actually catch him doing it?

NuttyMuffins · 28/03/2007 12:39

Well there is nothing in there for him to find, no mens bits and bobs worse luck .

I want to catch him really.

OP posts:
RTKangaMummy · 28/03/2007 12:42

well you could still springkle it onto the floor

in a scattered kind of way and then close the door

if you scatter a wide enough area he won't be able to get past it

BUT PUT THE TALCUM POWDER WHERE HE CAN'T GET IT

So close the top and throw onto the bed so he can't reach it

ceolas · 28/03/2007 12:43

Well then the hair thing wold work, but he could say it was DS.

LoveMyGirls · 28/03/2007 13:24

talc and hair - job done and no i dont watch james bond was my own idea

RTKangaMummy · 28/03/2007 17:29

What happened?

Did he go in?

anniebear · 28/03/2007 19:44

did he???!!!

Troutpout · 28/03/2007 19:47

ooh! tell us, tell us
Was it the case of the talc footprints or the shunted stuffed toy?
I'm dying to know

lou33 · 28/03/2007 19:48

lol he is so like mine nutty, my ex went through my sex toys when i went away last time he was here, to see if i had taken any with me!

anniebear · 28/03/2007 19:51

If It were me, he wouldn't find anything worth looking at in my room as he would have brioken his neck tripping on all the mess

NuttyMuffins · 28/03/2007 21:06

I don't kn ow if he went in or not, Dd2 ran ahead of me when we were nearly home and went straight upstairs into my room to get her t'shirt from off my bed.

I'd bet my life on him having been in though, bet he even had a root through the dirty washing to see if there were any mens undies in there LOL.

The match trick is better. Close a matchstick in the door frame so half is sticking out. Break off the half. So it's invisible. When you come back if the matchstick is not there, he's been through that door.

Personally I'd write on the mirror 'get out of my room you fecking perve' in lipstick!

lou33 · 28/03/2007 22:28

i like the match trick!

ele2 · 30/03/2007 14:29

Perhaps you should not have let him in the house if it was going to worry you so much. Or asked him not to go in your room! If situation was reversed what would you have done?
