To treat myself to a Wetherspoon dinner?

I am getting married on Saturday - due to being in and out of hospital with in utero DS, I didn't have the time to get wedding shoes I'm far too relaxed too

Well, I hunted everywhere today and found a pair for £12, down from £55.

I was going to buy the £120 Debenhams ones as a last resort because I simply couldn't find anything at all

They fit fab and look great.

AIBU to treat myself (on my own with no company Grin), to a pub style dinner?

I have saved a bit of money and feel like treating myself whilst looking like an odd bodd sitting at a table on my own

A world where a bride can't treat herself to a Wetherspoon's dinner is a world I want no part of!

Have a great wedding, and a healthy rest of pregnancy!

early30smum · 03/08/2017 20:13

Get some pepper sauce on the side. To keep your strength up,

SwedishEdith · 03/08/2017 20:18

A Wetherspoons dinner is not a treat! That's a 'I'm-with-colleagues-who-want-to-go-and-I-have-to-politely-go-along-with-it' dinner.

Go somewhere (anywhere!) nicer than that and enjoy eating alone.

wheretoyougonow · 03/08/2017 20:19

As your pregnant you may need a pudding as well. It's important to keep your calcium levels up you know Wink
I am a bit surprised that you have waited this long to eat. I can't make it past 7pm......

Scrumpernickel · 03/08/2017 20:21

I've never actually eaten in a Wetherspoon's and hate the twazzock who owns the chain so am unlikely to ever experience their hearty fare. But yes, definitely have a pudding.

CaoNiMartacus · 03/08/2017 20:21

Gosh, yes. It would be rude not to, really!

Enjoy.

fourfuckssake4 · 03/08/2017 20:21

Got to have pudding Grin enjoy

insancerre · 03/08/2017 20:25

I do love me a weatherspons tea but never a steak
A good steak has to be marinated and left at room temperature for at least an hour before cooking
Spoons don't do either so it's always chewy and not very tender
Unless that's how you Ike it, I'd go for s burger or fish and chips

Duchessgummybuns · 03/08/2017 20:29

Go for it! Bring a book, makes you feel less of an odd bod on your own :)

Janika · 03/08/2017 20:31

I'll join you.

BlueIsYou · 03/08/2017 20:34

I entered the Wetherspoon local, just came from shopping so sadly no book. But I have diary dates to fill!

Walked into the private event area that was being hired and got a very glossy smiled "What are you doing, this is a private event SmileHmm" from a very professional looking lady.

Embarrassment thankfully over.

I love my steak rare so have gone for it and hope it's okay Grin Was really fancying it!

Will certainly have pudding too, but not sure how this all works as I raced from ordering at the till to getting back to my seat, by which time a group of blokes had already plonked their drinks on my table.

I'm scared someone will take my table/clear it all away if I want another lemonade, too.

I forgot to buy shoes for my wedding and didn't realise until the morning of... Grin Blush

I ended up wearing stripey socks and dolly shoes!

NoWordForFluffy · 03/08/2017 20:38

Download the Wetherspoons app. You can order from your table!
