Feeling all warm and fuzzy cuddling my dog and thought- would love to know what makes you happy? Smile

Hopefully I'm not being too unreasonable asking Grin

My DSs, above everything else
Food that's why I'm fat
Good TV, settling down after kids are in bed and watching something brilliant, currently 'the handmaids tale'
The rain, I love the sound of the rain and thunderstorms
My friends, a silly, dirty, girly chat with the friends I have been friends with for 20 years now
Seeing someone develop at work, work in refuge and a good outcome means so much

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 16:41

OhHoly handmaid's tale is great! I cried at the birth scene where they took the newborn straight away and gave it to the fake mama Shock powerful stuff x

My home. Not the home specifically (can't bloody wait to move), but being in my house, with my children playing, dogs cuddling, and husband chatting.

I love being comfortable, and this is where I feel it most (mainly cause my bra is usually off, and joggers on 😂).

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 16:45

Same here Lexie - love home but can't wait to move (ASB neighbours!) x

A clean house.
When my kids manage something they've been practicing- no matter how small.
Cif cream cleaner. (I'm expecting and it appears to be my strongest craving). I actually have to force myself away. I can't see that inhaling chemicals is good for anyone! Last week I actually scrubbed the hall floor with it and temporarily lost my fingerprints!

LexieLulu · 23/07/2017 16:51

Only good thing about my home is that I can shut the front door, close the blinds and pretend I don't live in this area 😂 (until the neighbours have a kick off outside).

Currently having poorly doggy cuddles, so I'm happy! X

Bumdishcloths · 23/07/2017 16:56

Days out with my husband where we just get up at the weekend and decide to go to random places.

Line dried washing.

Weekend lie ins.

Lack of responsibilities for a day.

A clean kitchen.

Binge watching things together ok Netflix (currently Hannibal and Mad Men)

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 16:57

watchingit yes! When my 17mo does something new I'm nearly in tears with happiness Grin she's started playing peekaboo hiding behind the sofa (or even more cute putting a hand over her eyes) and saying "boo boo boo!" Grin Someone was sealing their drive when we were walking the dogs yesterday and I tool a long sniff and actually said out loud "mmmm better than petrol" before I'd even realised I just meant to think it... I blame the fumes...

Lexie are you planning to move? We're waiting for solicitors searches... I've completely switched off I'm so fed up. Flat is a jumble of packing boxes and bubble wrap. I'm overeating to distract myself... BTW downstairs neighbours son woke me at 2am coming in drunk Angry

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 17:01

P.s. Lexie who is poorly, you or the dog? I've got a wisdom tooth coming through (I'm only 37 ffs!) and my two dogs and cat are providing moral support

being able to relax without worrying about something but I can't remember the last time that this happened

In theory, being in my garden, doing drawings, or being by the coast but ATM I can't relax for love nor money.

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 17:02

Bum I loved Hannibal. Everyone I know thinks it's too 'weird'

My cat.

schokolade · 23/07/2017 17:06

My baby DS smiling his toothless smile at me when we wake up together
A cuddle from my DD when I get her from nursery
DH, especially when he brings me a coffee Grin
Flying into my home country - looking down at the landmarks welcoming me back
Gardens full of flowers

dadadadathatslife · 23/07/2017 17:08

When my 3 year old belly laughs

When me DH and DS all lie in bed together playing with DS's action figures, laughing and watching TV. We're so relaxed and it's like nothing else exists

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 17:08

user149 I have anxiety (came off fluoxetine a few months ago as it was making my hair fall out!). Can't say I feel depressed any more but the anxiety can be rough. Hope you manage to relax xx

Loads! I think it's a state of mind and you can experience happiness in everyday simple things. Those moments with ds and dh, stroking, caring for and loving the animals, feeling the warmth of a burst of sunshine on my shoulders like a hug, having a cup of tea made and brought to you, concentrating on the music of a catchy song. Loads...

ShortThing94 · 23/07/2017 17:10

I got married last Saturday, and I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I refer to my new husband as husband. Blush

Also when DH speaks to my ever growing baby bump - due in 9 weeks.. eek.

Also my cats purring away at me Smile

pinkyredrose · 23/07/2017 17:15

My cat. Prescription painkillers. Dogs hanging out of car windows. Elderly couples holding hands. The grass under my feet. Babies laughing. Sunshine. Music. Fields of sunflowers. Stormy nights when you're tucked up cosily with a good book in bed. Perusing art galleries. Random acts of kindness.

These things make me happy Smile

pinkyredrose · 23/07/2017 17:17

Congrats ShortThing94 ! Smile

IDoDaChaCha · 23/07/2017 17:25

Really nice to hear it's mostly the simple (and free!) things making us happy Smile

ShortThing- Awww that's lovely congratulations Flowers
