AIBU?

To be shocked by this children's game?

Just watching breakfast cartoons on C5 (I know that's being unreasonable but little one is off to Milkshake Live soon, so needs to recognise some of the characters Smile) and an advert for a game came on.

Basically you play Russian roulette with a toilet, flushing it until one of the players gets sprayed with toilet water. WTF?! That's gross, right?

Here's a link to buy the game in case people think I'm making this up...

I saw that the other day. I thought it was really funny. But I am incredibly immature Wink

Here's an image of it. Confused

To be shocked by this children's game?

My dc would love that!
They are grebby little oiks though.

GrumpySausage · 16/07/2017 08:59

I saw this advertised yesterday and both me and my husband grimaced. I'm not a prude and I have a fairly childish sense of humour but it just looks nasty! Hoping DS doesn't want one for Christmas! Grin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 16/07/2017 09:00

Ds would've loved that when he was younger Grin

Trollspoopglitter · 16/07/2017 09:01

It's being advertised constantly!!! Of course I made the mistake of loudly announcing "No way!" instead of strategically pretending to be mumsneting on my phone and ignoring the pleas to purchase it. Now they're obsessed and discussing how far off Christmas is. Apparently, Santa is cool and will get it for them.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/07/2017 09:01

Thought you meant the real toilet! My dc would love this. Can't be any worse than that awful gooie looie and his revolting bogeys. We love that too

AtHomeDadGlos · 16/07/2017 09:02

Surely they could have created something that had a similar effect but didn't spray you with 'toilet' water? Like a flume or a shower head or tap or something.

Also, Milkshake is utter dross compared to CBeebies.

You wouldn't like the dogs poo or snot game then Shock

mummyofmoomoos · 16/07/2017 09:03

My 5 year old ds wants this, he already has Og on the bog, doggy doo and Gooey Lewie. I think toilet water may be tame in comparison Grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 16/07/2017 09:03

Grin no worse than the cream in the face game.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 16/07/2017 09:03

I can't see how it's worse than pulling bogies out of Louie's face or squirting dog poo out of that poor sausage dogs bum.

AtHomeDadGlos · 16/07/2017 09:04

50/50 at the minute!

@Trolls if you give in buy it at Smyths not Argos as it's cheaper there!

BrutusMcDogface · 16/07/2017 09:05

The dog poo one is just vile. Loo water, meh....still won't be buying it though!

AtHomeDadGlos · 16/07/2017 09:05

I didn't know those games existed. My one's only 19 months so I've a way to go before she's interested in adverts.

Dog poo sounds grim though.

I genuinely can't see what the problem is Confused

ScarlettDarling · 16/07/2017 09:09

You must have lived a very sheltered life to be shocked by that! My ds got this plop game for Christmas and had a hoot playing with it.

AtHomeDadGlos · 16/07/2017 09:11

Not particularly, I just played with games like bucking broncos and hungry hippos. Don't really see how encouraging children to play with toilets (an item that everyone has at least one of in the house) is a good idea.

Not so much that the game is gross, but that your child might then play with the actual toilet. Then again, maybe IABU.

SoupDragon · 16/07/2017 09:12

You don't need to use real toilet water.

Paninotogo · 16/07/2017 09:15

your child might play with the actual toilet priceless

DermotOLogical · 16/07/2017 09:15

OP unclench, it's just normal water out of a fake toilet. You are seriously over thinking this.

BayLeaves · 16/07/2017 09:16

Kids love toilet humour... I don't have an issue with this as long as the kids are old enough to know it's a game and not start messing around with the real toilet!

Thingvellir · 16/07/2017 09:16

I'm with you OP, it's not a game I'd buy for my DC out of choice. If they saw adverts (unlikely as we don't watch live TV) and got obsessed with it I'd probably cave though, as while it's gross, it is pretty harmless.

ScarlettDarling · 16/07/2017 09:18

Let's hope that bucking broncos doesn't make your dc go out and load random household items onto a real life horse then! Or that Cluedo will make them try out kitchen knives. Or that monopoly will encourage them to try out going to jail every time they walk round the block. Honestly, playing one of these toilet games won't encourage your child to go rummaging round in the loo.

ChasingHighs · 16/07/2017 09:21

I'm laughing more that you feel you have to justify your child watching Milkshake.
