Just watching breakfast cartoons on C5 (I know that's being unreasonable but little one is off to Milkshake Live soon, so needs to recognise some of the characters ) and an advert for a game came on.

Basically you play Russian roulette with a toilet, flushing it until one of the players gets sprayed with toilet water. WTF?! That's gross, right?

I saw this advertised yesterday and both me and my husband grimaced. I'm not a prude and I have a fairly childish sense of humour but it just looks nasty! Hoping DS doesn't want one for Christmas!

It's being advertised constantly!!! Of course I made the mistake of loudly announcing "No way!" instead of strategically pretending to be mumsneting on my phone and ignoring the pleas to purchase it. Now they're obsessed and discussing how far off Christmas is. Apparently, Santa is cool and will get it for them.

Surely they could have created something that had a similar effect but didn't spray you with 'toilet' water? Like a flume or a shower head or tap or something.

Also, Milkshake is utter dross compared to CBeebies.

My 5 year old ds wants this, he already has Og on the bog, doggy doo and Gooey Lewie. I think toilet water may be tame in comparison

You must have lived a very sheltered life to be shocked by that! My ds got this plop game for Christmas and had a hoot playing with it.

Not particularly, I just played with games like bucking broncos and hungry hippos. Don't really see how encouraging children to play with toilets (an item that everyone has at least one of in the house) is a good idea.

Not so much that the game is gross, but that your child might then play with the actual toilet. Then again, maybe IABU.

Kids love toilet humour... I don't have an issue with this as long as the kids are old enough to know it's a game and not start messing around with the real toilet!

I'm with you OP, it's not a game I'd buy for my DC out of choice. If they saw adverts (unlikely as we don't watch live TV) and got obsessed with it I'd probably cave though, as while it's gross, it is pretty harmless.

Let's hope that bucking broncos doesn't make your dc go out and load random household items onto a real life horse then! Or that Cluedo will make them try out kitchen knives. Or that monopoly will encourage them to try out going to jail every time they walk round the block. Honestly, playing one of these toilet games won't encourage your child to go rummaging round in the loo.

I'm laughing more that you feel you have to justify your child watching Milkshake.
