Argh! I spend the day hoiking them (in a physical manner, not judgemental) out of my butt! Every. Single. Fucking. Pair.

They are nothing special - supermarket cotton shorts style. They are not too small. I am a size 10-12 and they are 12-14 size. But they are driving me insane!

It may be I am just noticing it more as wearing dresses/loose shorts a lot at the moment.

Where can I find non-butt-creeping pants from? Please. What am I doing wrong? Why are my pants so fucking uncomfortable?

Shorts do this to me too. I think it's worse if they are a little bit on the big side too - more material? Have you tried the old style pant shaped pants instead?

Gingernaut · 10/07/2017 18:47

I found shorts did that to me too.

Briefs. The big girl, butt covering, Bridget Jones style big knickers are thr only ones that don't do this to me.

purplenessy · 10/07/2017 18:48

I find buying them a size smaller than I am helps

OhDearToby · 10/07/2017 18:49

It's the shorts style that's the problem.

Marks and spencers midi pants are the way to go. They are not sexy but they are very very comfy.

PotOfYoghurt · 10/07/2017 18:49

I've got the opposite problem, my knickers always roll down! I've tried different styles and different sizes and I can't work out what's happening. They roll up in to a sausage shape and before I know it they're sub-cheek!

Rossigigi · 10/07/2017 18:50

I haven't worn any for 3 weeks as I've been annoyed ugh them- it's actually quiet nice!

NotaPantsTroll · 10/07/2017 19:49

So it is the pants and not my arse. Well that is a good thing I suppose.

I used to wear thongs. And find them more comfortable than anything else. Then I had the DCs. And associated issues post children have meant that is no longer in my radar of comfort.

Big girl pants is what I need then? Hmmm. Any recommendations?

Ooo. Not wearing any. Trouble is I have a toddler nephew who occassionally likes to hide up skirts (tis in an acceptable teeny toddler way, not anything to get hoiky pants about) But could be Awks if no pants. Tempting though.

I've just started buying long legged boxers. Best thing ever. No vpl

Queenofthestress · 10/07/2017 19:54

Midi pants from Primark do me pretty well, Bridget Jones style but keeps everything where it should be lol

Poppins2016 · 10/07/2017 19:55

Shorts are a nightmare.

Bikini briefs are great (M&S, Sainsbury's, etc).

I also like Sainsbury's Brazilians - cotton with a lace trim, a 'sexy' granny pant!

WinifredAtwellsOtherPiano · 10/07/2017 19:56

M&S Brazilians are good, and mostly VPL-free

BrieOnAnOatcake · 10/07/2017 19:59

Mine roll down if I'm wearing a skirt unless I buy full granny pants. I have granny pants :)

PurpleDaisies · 10/07/2017 20:00

Fat face pants are my favourite. They stay up and are super comfy.

RiverTam · 10/07/2017 20:00

M&S bikinis all the way.

NotaPantsTroll · 10/07/2017 20:05

Hmmm. This is becoming a revelation How old are all you granny-pants-wearing vipers? Which comes first? Granny-pants and then age? Or does the very sensible desire for comfort come due to age?

BrieOnAnOatcake · 10/07/2017 20:06

30s.. .

Hornbeamer · 10/07/2017 20:09

Granny pants since c-section. Still can't bear anything on scar 3 years on. I'm 42. M and s do nice ones with lace trim

RiverTam · 10/07/2017 20:09
  1. I wore shorts for a bit in my early to mid 30s but spent all my time fishing my pants out of my arse so I went back to bikinis which, apart from those misspent few years, have served me well since I was in my teens.
SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 10/07/2017 20:10

M&S high legs. They stay in the right place around my glutemus maximus.

I was mortified that my emergency post-CS full briefs were indistinguishable from my MiL's. She's a lovely woman but I was in my late 20s and she was nearly 80 Blush

DJBaggySmalls · 10/07/2017 20:11

I love shorts but they always end up in my butt crack, so I stick to minis.

PurpleDaisies · 10/07/2017 20:11

30s here too. I've always preferred comfort over style for pants. Smile

Lucked · 10/07/2017 20:13

Do you think they are too big and so there is too much movement because they are baggy.

I usually have to size down in pants but I am appple shaped so proportionally my bum is small.

After years of loving sloggis their quality went downhill. Someone on MN recommended M&S cotton rich midi multipacks. If you don't mind a biggish pant they are awesome. Much better gusset than M&S shorts which I tried but they bunched up.

NotaPantsTroll · 10/07/2017 20:14

New pants it is then. I shall hold you all accountable you know!
