Argh! I spend the day hoiking them (in a physical manner, not judgemental) out of my butt! Every. Single. Fucking. Pair.

They are nothing special - supermarket cotton shorts style. They are not too small. I am a size 10-12 and they are 12-14 size. But they are driving me insane!

It may be I am just noticing it more as wearing dresses/loose shorts a lot at the moment.

Where can I find non-butt-creeping pants from? Please. What am I doing wrong? Why are my pants so fucking uncomfortable?

Seamless shorts don't be distured by davidessex's review or Highlegs

I never have any bother and sometimes they have the shorts in jaunty colours.

BenjaminLinus · 10/07/2017 20:28

I wear the huge pants that you wonder who wears those. Cotton ribbed, can tuck your vest into in the winter, absorb sweat in the summer and a small child could use them for a blanket in an emergency.

WindyWednesday · 10/07/2017 20:28

M&S highlegs.

Lace waist bit and cotton the rest.

All colours and patterns v comfy.

ozymandiusking · 10/07/2017 20:29

M and S cotton rich full briefs are the way to go. They are so comfortable.

RogerLimasOldestDreadlock · 10/07/2017 20:31

@CottonSock - where do you get your long-legged shorts?

And to wade in with an opinion: I've always been a supermarket short wearer, but recently 'treated' myself to some new ones from gap.

My favourite pair is the breathe hipster. They stay where they're supposed to! I recommend them.

Mischa123 · 10/07/2017 20:34

Oddballs. They are the best pants ever, so comfy and give money to charity with purchases too!

AnathemaPulsifer · 10/07/2017 20:35

M&S high waist work for me.

mineofuselessinformation · 10/07/2017 20:39

I suffered from 'Houdini knickers' for a couple of years until I bought a size smaller! (Who knew?)
Have you tried a smaller size?

LotisBlue · 10/07/2017 20:44

Granny pants! M and s, full briefs. I started wearing them when pg with Dc1 and realised that for the first time in my life my pants were comfortable and didn't fall down. After I gave birth I bought more in a smaller size.

I get black ones with a lace trim so they aren't too awful looking

Zubba · 10/07/2017 20:53

I wear m&s bikini style knickers. In my true size. No butt munch here!

Zubba · 10/07/2017 20:57

Although I should add that I went off piste a year or so back and bought shorties in a fit of spontaneity and they are horribly baggy and too ... airey?? Far too much fresh air wafting about and didn't feel secure in them so they were binned pronto.

TheNoodlesIncident · 10/07/2017 22:11

I had bought some M&S big pants for comfort following ds's birth when I had expectations of a continuing tummy. (Accurately, as it turned out.) Very comfy, no roll-down or snagging inside bum.

I only threw them away last winter. Ds is eight...

I still buy the Marks' ones, although in a smaller size, they are still the bizz for the best pant experience.

Maccapacca88 · 10/07/2017 22:20

Primark minis or bikini pants in the multipacks are fab!

horridwaitrchoc · 10/07/2017 22:25

Now for me only thongs will do. Anything wider around the bum either either bunches up around one's crack... so to speak.. or gives an unpleasant double butt cheek weirdness to the silhouette...

JemDoughnut · 10/07/2017 22:33

I binned nearly all pants recently. Personally I think George do really nice comfortable pants that aren't too frumpy. They do packs of full, midi and Brazilian knickers that are a really soft, comfortable cotton with stretchy lace around the waistband or bum. Think the Brazilians make my bum look well good too (and my bum is not one of my favourite features).

londonmummy1966 · 10/07/2017 22:46

John Lewis granny pants - ever since awful things happened down below having dd1. The high waisted Bridget style every time (and the control version for running....).

rattieofcarcassone · 10/07/2017 22:51

M&S do amazingly comfy undies, not the most attractive but they're comfy! Asda so comfy underwear too but it's hot and miss, I used to have to buy two packs as you could guarantee that the elastic would be gone on at least one of the pairs before they came out of the bag Angry but they w the only ones I found comfy at the time, until I tried M&S!

RiversrunWoodville · 10/07/2017 22:52

30s too for granny pants Blush

Rightpivotturn · 10/07/2017 23:11

Another vote here for the Marks high waist cotton Brazilian - very comfortable and actually quite pretty. Sloggi are super comfortable but look terribly stern and functional whereas the Marks ones at least nod to the idea of attractiveness.

Lifegavemelemons · 10/07/2017 23:12

Slogi do brilliant big girl pants - and boy do they last! I was just looking at my stash on the line and realising I hadn't needed to buy any new ones for at least 7yrs - I knew that because the shop I used to get them from closed 7yrs ago ! Stretchy, comfy, don't ride up. Not cheap iirc but def worth it.

liftwantedaroundtheworld · 10/07/2017 23:29

You need to try handmade pants! They fit like a glove and never do a vanishing act!

Would IBU to throw out ALL my pants!
ItsTimeForDuggee · 10/07/2017 23:45

im in my 20s and I wear granny pants 🤷🏼‍♀️mainly from George they do a pretty good range of pants

CottonSock · 11/07/2017 14:58

Roger. I got these. Cheaper sellers but slower delivery.

Also tried sloggi, but these I prefer. One size though so probably for size 12-14 and under I would say

Greenery Womens/Ladies Lingerie/Underwear Lace Comforts Maxi Briefs/ High Rise Women's Briefs Boxer Shorts/ Basic Long Brief www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00W4QPKW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YJnzzb89TWQ2N?tag=mumsnetforum-21

NotaPantsTroll · 11/07/2017 21:58

So, have ordered some sloggi hi leg thingies. Also some M&S big girl pants. And when in Sainsbos this afternoon got some size 12 "Brazilians" which I am currently wearing.

Verdict on the Brazilians - they are certainly better than the shorts. Less butt-eating-pants going on. But still a bit. - Although I am not sure if it feels worse than it actually is a I am not super irritated/sensitive to it all atm. However they do fit a bit low at the front - leading to an unattractive c-section overhang thing going on. And I think they just give me a bit of a muffin top look - even though I don't really have that much "spare" iyswim. So not convinced they are a option for under anything other than jeans. The search continues.....
