AIBU?
Aibu to ask how eBay works?

I have had something listed for 3 days and there have been no views at all. I have no idea if it is being hidden somehow. If I search for the item I can't find it. But I wondered if you can't find your own item?

If it's a rare and/or expensive item I'd probably think about delisting it for now - June/July/August are the absolute worst months for selling on eBay. People are away, saving up, busy with children, out enjoying the weather. Unless we have a week of rain and gales I'd take it down and relist in September!

If you have literally zero views then there's probably an eBay glitch with the listing as you'll always get a couple of views created by ebay itself.
End your current item. Don't use the relist option but create yourself a brand new listing (copying and pasting description is fine).
Is your item an auction or buy it now? I have an eBay business and I know there are sellers currently complaining that the visibility of used buy it now items has dropped a lot against auction items recently.
If it's a very niche item you might find a specialist Facebook selling group might sell it quicker/at a better price.

There are reasons this happens.
Sometimes it can take a few hours for the listing to appear.
If you haven't sold anything for a while you will be low down in the search to the point of being invisible.
If you use re-list instead of sell similar, again you will be hidden as it will appear that the item is not popular.
If there have been lots of views and no sale, as above.
If it is a designer name item it can take a lot longer to appear in search.
Having explained that, have you tried searching with the item no. and from a different device? With the exact listing title? With 'Newly listed' search and not the default and useless 'Best Match'?

You haven't made any spelling mistakes in the listing have you?
Try setting the search to nearest first and then if it's there it should show. Absolutely no views indicates a glitch - there are always views from ebay - I can list things and see 'views' straight away - these are unlikely to be real people, more likely the ebay system.

I can find it with the item number but obviously people won't know that so I was trying to find it using terms that people would search for. I am a newish Lister (sold. 20 items) so I have mainly only sold wedding things so far. But I have 100% positive feedback and no issues so hopefully that will get better over time.
