If you buy something (in my case, studded boots) and your friend comments "I'm sure it suits you", is this a dig?

Has she seen them? Or have you just told her about them? Did she say "it" or "they"?

I take that to mean that she doesn't like them but acknowledges that you do and that they will look good on you. I don't think it's a dig.
