We are on episode 5. Was wondering myself if it was you g to be all riot. I'm still enjoying it though I do feel sorry for the electrical c/o (not sure how to spell it but it's loosecheck) and kaputo (again with the spelling). I'm glad all the new guards are getting what they deserve.

The whole series apparently spans 3 days.
I think what they're doing is buying time as Piper only has 3 months left and the story really centres on her. When it's time for her to leave there won't be much of a story! So they're making the series really short lived (probably so that they can commission 4 more).
Which is annoying as that technically means the show is only in 2014 still and they're mentioning much more modern things!
I loved seasons 1 and 2. Not been crazy about the last couple of seasons I have to say

Dh think it's become quite serious now whereas, in the beginning it's was really funny.
Yeah I think the same, some scenes can be funny but in a dark way, whereas before there were genuine comical moments.
Apparently they've commissioned two or three more seasons...

This has actually been my favourite season to date! I thought everything they did was excellent and sometimes bordering genius. I loved all the issues they have addressed and challenged this season. Plus all the nods to so many movies/movie genres I just thought was brilliant! Some were less obvious than others. The one in the last ep was pretty obvious of course, nobody could miss it, and it made me laugh so much. Don't want to say too much in case of spoilers. It's been a very well thought out season. Unfortunately I think some of it is going to go over some people's heads, but even so I was honestly never bored once this season. In fact, I loved that they made it all about the riot - a pretty novel way to completely change the dynamic of the show and also prevent people getting bored of the same old stuff. Ironically it seems to have backfired for a portion of their audience!!! That's fair enough of course. We don't all appreciate the same things.
We got to see how the characters would interact within a modern life outside prison, whilst they were in prison. That was so great! I loved Flaritza doing their thing, of course that's how they would be outside How they adapted to having to fend for themselves, and how each character utilised their small window of freedom was very interesting and I feel like I know and understand them even better for it. I was laughing so much throughout this season, I'm surprised people are finding it not so funny. It was refreshing that it wasn't all about Piper too, and that she seemed to redeem herself this season and show a more likeable side again.
I have found many others who thought it was great though so hopefully nobody goes into this season with too negative an outlook based on poor reviews. I can't wait to wait 6 month or do and watch it again. 😆
