Right I'm on episode 6 of the new series ...

Please tell me the ENTIRE series is not about the riot.

I'm bored to tears with it now.

I'm bored too and I only watched 2 episodes!! I was so looking forward to it! From reading the information about each episode it looks like it is all about the riot.

It's all riot. Sorry

Episode 9 and still rioting....

I watched the whole thing and no spoilers but I cried so much the whole way through.

Yep the whole season is spread over these 4 days!

I gotta say I hated it at first, but then episode 5 (the one with Janae's flashbacks about her education compared to that of privileged white kids) turned it round for me. Tastee's speech was so so good!

Seriously? I used to rate this show very highly.

How can an entire series be based on one event?

I thought this was yet another thread about the DUP :(

I'm only on espisode 3 but apparently it gets better.

I've been really disappointed with this season. The riot got boring after about three episodes.

I'm just watching the episode with the talent show, it's a different pace but I'm enjoying it so far

I watched episode 1 last night and was bored. Tried to watch episode 2 tonight but realised about 10 minutes in I wasn't even paying attention so switched it off. It's really disappointing.

Just seen episode 3. The guard abuse is quite uncomfortable viewing.
On a lighter note have you read Piper's book? Her pre-prison blog the Pipe Bomb is also online.
Also, Piper appears n the opening sequence- she is the woman who blinks!

I'm on episode 6, it is getting a little tedious with the riot know though. I've enjoyed Sophia's development in this series so far.
And I think that red's meltdown about an officer is hilarious. Won't post spoilers.

I'm up I episode 9 and I was very relieved when they finally got the power back, I'd been dreading a whole series in the dark. It's hard to watch on my iPad when it's as dark visually as the first few episodes were!

I'm on episode 4 and I'm so disappointed with the series so far.

I'm finding the riot very boring, it almost feels like a chore to watch it.

We are on episode 5. Was wondering myself if it was you g to be all riot. I'm still enjoying it though I do feel sorry for the electrical c/o (not sure how to spell it but it's loosecheck) and kaputo (again with the spelling). I'm glad all the new guards are getting what they deserve.

The whole series apparently spans 3 days.

I think what they're doing is buying time as Piper only has 3 months left and the story really centres on her. When it's time for her to leave there won't be much of a story! So they're making the series really short lived (probably so that they can commission 4 more).

Which is annoying as that technically means the show is only in 2014 still and they're mentioning much more modern things!

I loved seasons 1 and 2. Not been crazy about the last couple of seasons I have to say

Piper would've had her sentence extended for perjury.

I watched it all in one day. Very much enjoyed it.

I was wondering whether Piper would end up doing something to land her more time? I don't want it to end!
Dh think it's become quite serious now whereas, in the beginning it's was really funny.

Yeah I think the same, some scenes can be funny but in a dark way, whereas before there were genuine comical moments.

Apparently they've commissioned two or three more seasons...

I lost interest by the end of the first episode. It's just noise, shouting and running. I want dialogue and acting. Can't be arsed.

Yeah series 4 was so depressing, but with some important messages too.

American TV shows always do too many series and ruin it eventually.

This has actually been my favourite season to date! I thought everything they did was excellent and sometimes bordering genius. I loved all the issues they have addressed and challenged this season. Plus all the nods to so many movies/movie genres I just thought was brilliant! Some were less obvious than others. The one in the last ep was pretty obvious of course, nobody could miss it, and it made me laugh so much. Don't want to say too much in case of spoilers. It's been a very well thought out season. Unfortunately I think some of it is going to go over some people's heads, but even so I was honestly never bored once this season. In fact, I loved that they made it all about the riot - a pretty novel way to completely change the dynamic of the show and also prevent people getting bored of the same old stuff. Ironically it seems to have backfired for a portion of their audience!!! That's fair enough of course. We don't all appreciate the same things.

We got to see how the characters would interact within a modern life outside prison, whilst they were in prison. That was so great! I loved Flaritza doing their thing, of course that's how they would be outside Grin How they adapted to having to fend for themselves, and how each character utilised their small window of freedom was very interesting and I feel like I know and understand them even better for it. I was laughing so much throughout this season, I'm surprised people are finding it not so funny. It was refreshing that it wasn't all about Piper too, and that she seemed to redeem herself this season and show a more likeable side again.

I have found many others who thought it was great though so hopefully nobody goes into this season with too negative an outlook based on poor reviews. I can't wait to wait 6 month or do and watch it again. 😆

I actually think piper has become less and less of a central character and that she's not really needed any more. They all hold their own against her...tastee,red etc

*so not do.

Also I mean reviews that do not favour the show, not badly written reviews! 😄
