Next jeans worn out in 12 months

Bought pair of next enhancer jeans around this time last year. Wear them approx one/two times a week. They are wearing out already around the thigh area. Jeans usually last longer than this! Thoughts?

I used to buy most of my clothes at Next but over the last couple of years the quality has really gone downhill. After my last purchases (a top which bobbled after on wash and a pair of trousers that started falling to bits the first time I wore them), I have vowed no more shopping in Next. I have also found the customer service appalling - rude, arrogant and unhelpful on the issues I had with the poor quality clothing, as well as a nightmare furniture order last year. Plus their chief executive is a dick!

I wish they hadn't started to put Lycra into clothes , jeans especially . I know they're more comfortable
to wear but they really dont seem to last as long . As a PP said they fit fine in the morning but come lunch time , mine are all baggy and will only look ok again if I wash them.
I used to love squeezing myself into my just washed, stiff as a board wranglers or Pepe jeans back in the 80's.

Actually, I've just checked and I bought them October last year so not even 12 months. I think it may be the lycra that makes them no longer as hard-wearing as they used to be. I also wonder why my size 12 fit perfectly when freshly washed yet a few hours later they are too big on the waist and thighs ( as other people have commented )

It's the lycra that does it. Means they're cheaper to make, but the stretch means they don't stay fitted (due to the cotton), and means the denim is weakened as well.
It's shit. I've had £79 jeans do the same thing - one pair wore out within a month and I returned them - they were replaced as faulty but the same thing has happened to the replacement 6 months down the line.
