Trump tells @Reuters he credits North Korean leader Kim as 'not many 27-year-old men could go in and take over a regime'

He said that during his campaign and people voted for him.

However, that's nothing. Our first Portuguese king rebelled against his mother and his cousin king to gain independence by the time he was 20.

TheClaws · 28/04/2017 07:31

I saw that about Trump wanting payment from South Korea upwards of $1billion for the THAAD system. He said, "I informed South Korea it would be appropriate if they paid. It's a billion-dollar system," Trump said. "It's phenomenal, shoots missiles right out of the sky."

But, it seems that the US military owns it. From the same Reuters article Pain posted a link to, 'A former U.S. State Department official estimated the cost of the system at about $1.2 billion but said the United States would not want to sell THAAD to Seoul.

"We want to retain THAAD in our arsenal, consistent with all other U.S. weapons systems deployed on the Korean peninsula. We own them. We retain them. We have the right to redeploy them," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.'

So...he wants another country to pay the US for something the US already owns? Isn't that a bit embarrassing?

That's the very very best he can do at Diplomacy. That's it. The lot. Poke the hornets nest, then Chinese PM suggests diplomacy and DT pulls that out.

I read the Reuters article about how hard he found it being PM. Oh diddums. He's part time anyway with all his golfing and watching cable TV. He finds being President more difficult than his previous life, what a suprise, you are answerable to 326M employees, that's why

MrsT2007 · 28/04/2017 07:56

And yet he's only filled a tiny percentage of staff posts too.

If he recruited a good full team it may be easier, dickwad.

Lweji · 28/04/2017 08:38

I suspect he's having trouble finding people who want to openly work for him as President. And those he can find can't be vetted.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/04/2017 09:44

That hasn't stopped him recruiting Flynn, Gorka, Kushner, Bannon and the rest of the motley crew!

He must have a massive list of invoices he wants to send out.

Germany for NATO
Mexico for the wall.
South Korea for THAAD.

He really is a total fucknut isn't he. Lord I hope McMaster and co will rein him in re: NK

Roussette · 28/04/2017 11:18

Orla oh yeah, and when they don't pay up he'll just take to Twitter and say some massively stupid comments and make more of a fool of himself than he already has. If that's possible...

Weird how when Trump gets 46% of the vote populists talk about the 'will of the people' but when remainers got 48% we are invisible.

'Get off of Twitter': As Trump nears Day 100, some stirrings of discontent: mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKBN17U1BL

Depressingly though, a lot of the people discussed in the article think he's being impeded by the democrats, factional fighting in the Republican Party, the fake news media and the judiciary. It's like people want a dictator! He's been so obvious in his dodgy dealings, this goes beyond having a different point of view surely - anyone that still supports trump must be intentionally engaging in doublethink.

Lweji · 28/04/2017 11:57

If you only read his tweets or listen to him, then it's normal that you blame everyone else.
Because he's doing a terrific job.

The knives are out! Elizabeth Warren turns on Obama, she’s ‘troubled’ by $400K Wall Street speech

Trevor Noah says "fuck that" and "fuck you".

Let a white President be the first to say no to cash in. And at least Obama waited until he left office. :)

Looks like a good piece of work by police in Westminster yesterday, arresting someone with knives on the street.
