To think saying I'm pissed off isn't swearing?

Just that really. Not said in front of any children, but you'd have honestly thought I'd f'd and blinded the worst swear word under the sun by this woman's reaction. I've never thought of the word pissed as swearing.

It is. Confused

BlondeBecky1983 · 22/04/2017 21:39

Definitely swearing.

Floggingmolly · 22/04/2017 21:39

It is.

Charlesbakerharris · 22/04/2017 21:40

Yep, definitely is. Although not in America, weirdly.

coolaschmoola · 22/04/2017 21:40

Yes, swearing.

MrsELM21 · 22/04/2017 21:40

Yep, it is

BlondeBecky1983 · 22/04/2017 21:40

It is, in America also.

Amockingjayhey · 22/04/2017 21:41

It is a bit sweary
Not as bad as some. But definitely swearing

Blumkin · 22/04/2017 21:41

Yep, swearing. Saying fucking cunt arse is still swearing even if no children are present.

If my dc told me they were passed off, then I'd tell them off for swearing

weeblueberry · 22/04/2017 21:41

100% swearing...

TyneTeas · 22/04/2017 21:41

Yes, swearing

ImperialBlether · 22/04/2017 21:42

Sorry, OP; it's swearing!

Blumkin · 22/04/2017 21:42

*pissed (even my polite autocorrect changed it to passed)

DevilsDumplings · 22/04/2017 21:43

How did the woman react? Context it was used please Grin

saturdaysaturday · 22/04/2017 21:43

Yes.

ToughItOut · 22/04/2017 21:45

I never thought of that as swearing, so there you go! I've never been offended by someone saying they were a bit pissed off. Spent a lot of time in America and no one seemed to think it sweary there as everyone used it (minus the off part)!

NotTheBelleoftheBall · 22/04/2017 21:45

For me it's level three swearing:

Level 1:
Cunt
Motherfucker

Level 2:
Fuck
Asshole
Dick

Level 3:
Piss / pissed
Shit

Level 4:
Bloody
Sodding
Bastard

Primaryteach87 · 22/04/2017 21:49

It is swearing. Not the worst thing but definitely swearing. If you'd wanted to not swear you could have said "cheesed off" or just annoyed/frustrated etc.

Primaryteach87 · 22/04/2017 21:49

Agree with the above post about levels, except bastard would be in level 3

DeadGood · 22/04/2017 21:50

good lord not your levels are all wrong! Shit belongs on level 2 and dick is more a level 3.

LonginesPrime · 22/04/2017 21:51

It would be level 3 for me, but I only have three levels:

Level 1:
Cunt
Gash

Level 2:
Fuck
Shit
Bastard

Level 3:
Piss
Dick
Arsehole
Bloody

DressMeUpInStitches · 22/04/2017 21:52

Would you say it in front of a child? Or in the playground? If not, then it's a swearword.

TwoBeams · 22/04/2017 21:53

Blush I wouldn't think of this as swearing.
Also bloody hell, Jesus Christ etc Blush

bibbitybobbityyhat · 22/04/2017 21:53

Yes, piss and pissed off are swearing. I wouldn't want to hear my children saying those words in front of me and I would only say them in front of select people.

notangelinajolie · 22/04/2017 21:56

Definitely swearing. Not something I'd throw into general conversation unless it was with someone I know well. And definitely not a word I'd use around children.
